I don't know I just started and didn't stop writing...
I'm kicking the curb cause you never heard
The words that you needed so bad
And I'm kicking the dirt cause I never gave you
The things that you needed to have
I'm so sad, saaad
~Maroon 5
If you saw Mick's jealous glares at a couple across the room, you'd assume it they were directed at Jerome and Mara. What you wouldn't know is that you'd be wrong. The jealous looks weren't towards them, but a more unexpected pair. His jealous glares were directed at Patricia Williamson and her American boyfriend, the headmaster's son, Eddie Miller. Mick never let on to his crush on Patricia, only dating Mara and Amber to make her jealous. His plan failed. He did get her attention but only in threats. Saying if he hurt them she'd hurt him.
He pondered if she ever had feelings for him or if his feelings were solely unrequited. Mick knew what she thought of him. He was a player, a heartbreaker, why would she like him? She surely never gave him a second thought. There she was the girl that didn't dance, happily dancing with the new American. The boy that took his place. He wondered what if he hadn't gone to Australia. The American wouldn't have moved in and taken his place. She wouldn't be taken, but he probably would've been. He would probably still be with Mara. Sure Mara and Amber were nice, but they weren't Patricia.
He thought about what could've happened if he never had asked Amber out in the first place, maybe he would have asked Patricia out. Maybe he would've been the one she was dancing with, a smile plastered on her face. He frowned, watching as the pair smiled, the American whispered something into her ear. She giggled. Maybe that could've been Mick, maybe Mick could've been the one to make her giggle. Maybe Mick could've been the one she had her arms around. Maybe Mick could've been the one to have his hands on her hips. It wasn't Mick. It was the American. Mick's glare increased. He felt a tap on the shoulder, a smiling Joy was there.
"It hurts doesn't it?"
"What hurts?"
"To see the person you like, be happy with someone else," she said. He wondered if she knew the real person he was jealous of, or if she was referring to Jerome and Mara. He wasn't sure if he should say anything or what he should say. He simply nodded.
"Seeing them happy should be enough right? Sometimes it's not, but sometimes it is," she murmured before walking away.
He knew deep down Joy was right. He studied the pair she looked happy, really happy. That should've been enough for him, to see her happy, but it wasn't. As he watched Eddie lean down and give her a quick peck, he couldn't help but feel totally crushed.
THIS IS SHORT AND YEAH ;-;
