I got writer's block. So this is just something I did for fun. My friend (being the little snoop that she is) found it on my computer and told me I should put it up. Meh. Why not?

"Hush little Lovi don't say a word… Toni's gonna buy you a mockingbird…"

"Che… yeah right, bas-"

"Shh… Let me finish my song~"

"Whatever… 'm not tired…"

The Spaniard chuckled and resumed singing to the little boy in his arms. "And if that mocking bird doesn't sing, Toni's gonna buy you a diamond ring…"

"Yeah…? With what money?"

"Lovino…"

"Che. Go on."

He sighed. "and if that diamond ring turns brass, Toni's gonna buy you a looking glass…"

"Knew it was crappy quality…"

"Okay, I guess you don't really want your bedtime song."

"N-No! I mean… Keep singing…"

"Alright, but stop giving me lip mi tomate…"

Lovino grunted his assent, settling down into his caretaker's shoulder.

Antonio resumed his singing. "And if that looking glass is broken, Toni's gonna buy you a billy goat…"

He felt is shoulder move as Lovino made a face. Surprisingly, the boy didn't mouth off this time and he continued.

"And if that billy goat won't pull, Toni's gonna by you a cart and bull…"

Lovino's breathing started to settle down.

"And if that cart and bull fall down, you'll still be the sweetest Lovi in my life…"

The little boy fell asleep.

Antonio continued humming the tune as he placed him in his bed and pulled the covers over him. "Goodnight, Lovino…~ Have sweet dreams…~" He kissed his forehead and exited the room, smiling back at the sleeping boy.
