It was freaking driving him insane. That happy smile, those all too innocent laughs. It was as if he didn't even know what was going on!
Then again...maybe he didn't? Did he really think this whole thing was a game? After all they'd been through?
Gokudera sighed, glaring at the dark-haired idiot. I can't believe you're that blind. I just can't.
Sitting up in his seat as he heard the end of the day bell, he stood, walking to where Tsuna was putting his stuff together.
"10th! I'll walk back to your place with you!" He said smiling his widest at the brown-haired boy.
"I'll come along too!" He had to clench his teeth hard to resist turning and punching the baseball-idiot.
"You don't need to!" He growled, almost snarling at the taller boy. "I can protect the 10th without your help."
"Still playing the mafia game?" Yamamoto laughed, before looking to Tsuna. "Do you understand the homework?"
Tsuna sighed heavily. "No."
Yamamoto laughed again. "Me neither."
Soon enough they were on their way to Tsuna's house. Gokudera looked over to his companions, feeling uneasy for some reason. Nothing seemed out of the ordinary, Yamamoto was making jokes, Tsuna was laughing with him. Everything was completly normal, except, nothing was.
Something was really off, but he just couldn't place it. It was starting to bug him. A lot.
He barely noticed the time go by as they sat in the 10th's room and did their homework, so lost was he in his thoughts. In fact he only realized it was time to go when Yamamoto shook his shoulder.
"Hey! Gokudera, it's getting late, we should let Tsuna get some sleep." The other boy had a strange look on his face, somewhere between purplexed and like he wanted to laugh.
"Eh? Oh, right. See you tomorrow 10th!" He tookhis leave quickly, all too aware of the footsteps of another right behind him on the street. As he walked past where they split ways he noted something odd, the footsteps that weren't his were still following him.
Spinning around he glared at the person following him, who was, of course, Yamamoto. "What?"
Yamamoto grinned at him. "I thought we could hang out a bit, you know...it's not too late yet, is it?"
Raising an eyebrow, Gokudera scoffed at him. "And why would you think I'd spend my time with you?"
Then a strange thing happened. Yamamoto glared at him. Yamamoto, the guy who took everything as a joke or a game...who was always happy. He had to say he was surprised.
Then the baseball lover spoke, is voice low, almost dangerous. "I'm getting sick of that attitude, Gokudera, I suggest you rethink your tone."
"What the..." Gokudera was officially freaked out. This wasn't the Yamamoto he was used to...
He backed up, only to find Yamamoto was matching him, step for step. A jolt of something like fear shot through his veins. "What do you want, baseball-idiot?"
Yamamoto didn't reply, instead he snapped out one arm, catching Goku by the neck of his school uniform. Smiling, he pulled the shorter teen towards him.
"You'll find out soon enough." And with that he released him, waving as he ran down the street, not turning back. "Bye Gokudera! See you tomorrow!"
What the hell was that?! I suppose tha's what seemed off...him... Shuddering slightly, Gokudera walked into his home, making for his bed straight away, deciding to put the incident out of his mind until the morning.
So what do you think guys? Should I go on? I like it, I guess, but I'd like to have your feedback on this one. Just so you know, I've never written for these two before, so they might be a little oc, but just give me some tips on how I can improve, I'm here to learn.
