Yusei's Sanctuary

Jack's duel runner roared noisily as it pulled into the garage Team 5D's shared. Yusei and Crow weren't back from dueling practice it seemed; as their duel runners weren't there. Jack pulled off his helmet, tossed it aside, and clomped loudly up the stairs to his room. As he swished through the narrow hallway, he couldn't help but notice that the lock that was usually on Yusei's door was unlocked today. Considering the options, the aussie went ahead and pushed open the door.

As Jack scanned the interior of the room, he noticed the sign with the words 'Yusei's Sanctuary' scrawled on it hanging on the headboard of the bed. Jack went over and plucked it off the headboard, inspecting every inch of the sign before setting it down again. The blondie remembered when Crow insisted having the sign hang on Yusei's door. His supposed reason was, (and this is quote on quote here,) "C'mon Yusei! Every now and then you spend, like, 3 days, just hanging around this dreary bedroom of yours! You have to put something nice in your room!" Yusei had protested for a couple of days, then just let it be.

The workbench was next in Jack's prying list. It was tucked up under the window to allow sunlight to shine on it. Several screwdrives, wrenches, and other assorted items lay on it. Crow and Jack's old KC Mass production duel disks also lay face-down on the bench, in the process of being dismantled. Jack ignored it and moved on.

The bed itself was neatly made, like Yusei had not slept on it the previous night. Come to think of it, he didn't. (Spazzy moment here ^^ Anyway, on with the story.) Next to the bed was the usual table that all the boys had. Yusei's however, had pictures lain out on the wooden tabletop. Several of them were from Team Sastifaction; Kalin, Crow, Jack and Yusei were laughing in one of the photos. In another, Kalin was chasing Crow around, most likely demanding that the ginger haired male return his duel disk. Most of the other photos were of the WRPG. Jack's personal favorite one was the pictures of Crow covered in gray paint. He remembered that incident quite strongly. They had been repainting the garage and the bucket had slipped...

The rumble of engines and loud voices shocked Jack out of his walk down memory lane. His rush to get out of Yusei's room was so great, he didn't notice that one of his earrings fall off in the process. Jack left none the smarter about his lost belonging.

Later, when Yusei came into his room to retrieve the old duel disks, he notice Jack's A-shaped earring on the ground. Picking it up, he knew Jack had been snooping again without his permission, but he wasn't angry. His friend had been gentle with his belongings; not shifting them around carelessly like he usually would. Yusei gazed out the window, looking out to see the star covered midnight sky. Friends really couldn't get better than that.

I hoped you liked it! Once again, please review. Oh, and another thing, perhaps some of you readers could come up with a title for my upcoming Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's chapter story. Summary's on my, whatchamacallit, site? So PM me if you have a good idea~
