The world knew. There was no cloaking the knowledge of the otherworldly entities any longer. Nevada and Egypt's deserts, the seven seas and the wilds of the world could not conceal the reality that now faced humankind; Chicago was devastated. These American-broadcasted reports in the Volutri's chamber were calmly being observed by the vampire rulers, that was, until it mentioned a core of humans interacting with the "good" entities.

Caius growled.

"This is news to you?" Marcus spoke without looking at him.

"We've given these creatures plenty of chances to stay concealed," he said venomously.

The vampire glanced at him across the way. "The humans or the robots?"

Aro leaned forward in concentration. "I am afraid our lack of involvement in these affairs have proven disastrous. The entities' exposure could prove to be the catalyst for our own demise. Caius, Marcus, do you back my decision to enforce our will over these surviving entities and the main group of humans who correspond with them? With their acceptance will come curiosity, with curiosity will come our discovery and destruction, as predicted."

"Your prediction need not come to pass in the way you anticipate, Aro."

Both sets of dulled red eyes fell to Caius.

"We've tracked these beings since the moment the human media captured what has been counterfeited to the general public. Propaganda notwithstanding, it isn't until now hoaxes have been abolished and the truth is for all to see. I say we take advantage." Aro drew in and held out his hand, he was very much interested in learning more of his brother's plan.

We take hold of any entity still capable of being operable.

Marcus laid his fingers along Aro's translucent skin as well.

We trick the Cullens and the Shape shifters into a truce.

Felix approached from seemingly nowhere and added his touch.

No doubt the mutant lovers we'll want their hand in converting the remaining creatures.

Aro, we already have collected more information on this entity-human based comradie.

"You too, dear one?" Aro smiled impeccably as Jane was the last to contribute.

Our proposal is to take down the Cullens and Quileutes by gaining control of an entity.

"You all agree with this?"

The rest of the Volturi – the wives, the guards – approached. They were visibly worried.

Everyone knew that Forks was a threat even as they had conceded they were not one.

"We'll have to do some more delving into these human-entity relationships then."

This was Aro's final word on the matter for that time.
