A/N: It's been awhile since I've seen the seventh Harry Potter movie, but I've always wanted to write a drabble on the scene where Neville finally finds Luna during the Battle of was written for Camp Potter (write about Luna Lovegood in the Battle of Hogwarts), the Fiddler on the Roof Challenge (a hidden crush), monthly drabble a thon challenge (worried for prompt), Disney Character Challenge (Dumbo-Write about Luna Lovegood), and the Drabble a Day Challenge. Disclaimer: I don't own Harry Potter.
Neville was fighting at the Battle of Hogwarts when he finally ran into Harry. "Have you seen Luna?" he asked his friend loudly.
Harry shook his head and gave him a questioning look. "No, I haven't. Why?" he asked him curiously.
"I'm mad for her!" Neville said, grinning as he finally said those words out loud. Harry raised an eyebrow at him, but Neville didn't care that he might be thinking that he was weird. He had to find Luna and tell her how he felt, before he lost his chance.
He rushed through the crowd and finally found her cornered by a Death Eater. Neville shouted the first spell he could think of, and the Death Eater ran off before he could do anything else. Luna looked confused, but her eyes lit up when she saw him at last.
"Neville!" she said happily as she quickly hugged him. Neville pulled her closer to him before he lost his courage and leaned down to kiss her. Luna was shocked when he first kissed her, but she kissed him back after a moment and allowed the kiss to continue. Neville was worried that he had been too bold after she pulled away finally. After all, fighting and getting permission to blow things up had given him this courage.
But she was smiling when she pulled away. He took that as a very good sign and quietly held her hand. "I've been wanting to do that for ages," he admitted finally. He had a hidden crush on Luna for awhile now.
Luna ran a hand through his hair and pressed her lips against his again. "I'm glad… I have too," she admitted before hugging him again. An explosion nearby interrupted their moment together, and they quickly started moving toward safety.
