Disclamer: I do not own the characters of LoK. They belong to Brian and Mike. Thanks!

Sunshine flooded Asami's eyes. She gave a quiet, tired moan and hugged the soft fabric she was lying against closer. The smell of cologne made her sigh.

That smells nice, she thought. No more consideration was given to the matter.

The fabric remained good company a few more minutes. The sun continued to rise and time was certainly not going to stand still. Finally, she decided to get up, stretching until her arms cracked.

What day was it? It must be Wednesday since she recalled going to town the previous day with Bolin and walking around. They only did that on Tuesdays and Thursdays usually, she remembered, and it couldn't be Friday since she had a big meeting with a client. She would never forget that.

She lowered her arms, leaning back against the wall behind her. It was time to get up and face the day. A day consisting of work, with a short break for lunch; more work would follow.

Turning her head, Bolin's form came into view. He was fast asleep, sitting right beside her, hair askew and snoring quietly. Then realization hit her. How could she not have known she fell asleep on his shoulder? Again she recalled going to the city and walking with him, coming home on the boat, divulging a little more than necessary information about her work problems, then...

That's right. They had sat down right where they were now. Then they talked more. When all was said and done, he had asked her out.

And what had she said?

She had no idea.

She started shaking him till he awoke. "Bolin? Hey, come on. Time to get up."

His eyes peeled open. He gave a low groan. "Huh? What time is it?"

"Honestly, I have no idea. But its at least passed sunrise."

"Seriously? How long have you been awake?"

"Not long. So uh, what exactly happened last night?"

Bolin crossed his arms. Last night. It had been the most pleasant night he'd had in a while. No pro-bending, no equalists; just a nice night with a friend. Asami had become defensive about her job problems, but who wouldn't? They both had job problems, hers were just, worse. But they had grown closer over the last few months.

"I think I asked you out; didn't I?" he said casually.

"If I'm not mistaken..." Asami's voice was placid.

"And?"

"Didn't I answer your question when you asked?"

"Not really, you said you'd sleep on it then kissed my cheek then fell asleep. End of that story."

At least she wasn't committed. Yet. She straightened up against the wall and inched her way closer to Bolin. Maybe he'd get the picture.

Take a chance. Chances were meant to be taken, she told herself. Turning, she smiled, then leaned up and kissed him. When he didn't hesitate to return the kiss, her eyes closed and any inhibitions she might have had were gone. And she didn't mind one bit.

Out of instinct, Bolin wrapped his arms around her and pulled her against him. Maybe they had grown closer than he thought. He had gotten his answer and he couldn't complain.

Thank you so much for reading! Also, Thanks to IceAroundtheMoon for being a beta :) Hope you enjoyed it and God bless!
