A/N: This is my first attempt at Glenn and Maggie. I hope everyone likes it.

TWD belongs to AMC and the songs belong to Tracy Lawerance.

I don't say I love you quite enough I know

Sometimes I go for days I'm ashamed to say

The world moves so fast and the words come so slow

Glenn had not spoken to Maggie for the first day that they returned

from Woodbury and the last time he had told her he loved her, he

had just been beaten within an inch of his life, and Maggie had almost

been raped by a monster. He hated that he had not sought her out and

told her how much love he held for her. Things were happening so fast

in this new dangerous worl that they lived in now. Glenn felt he didn't have

time to go consule his hurt girlfriend. He had to act and get the prison and the

rest of his family ready for a war that was on their doorstep.

And I let those excuses get in my way

While you sleep sometimes I lie awake and watch you breath

In the silence that surrounds the dead of night

Bear my soul that all the words sound right

I pray the lord our hearts to keep while you sleep

Glenn had sought her out, ans tried to talk to her, but he words had

came out all wrong. They sounded venomus and accusing, not at all the

way that he had meant it. Glenn stalked off after Maggie and pushed him

out of her cell. He cussed himself as he replayed the way that he had handled that

whole situation. Why was he so angery toward her when she was the most

important thing in his life and the first person he would die to protect. Glenn

snuck into the cell that Maggie had been staying in sense they had returned, with

Beth. He sat beside and watched her sleep. He closed his eyes as he stroked her hair

and prayed. It was not something that he was accustomed to but of late he had found

that it was one of the most comforting things he could do. He found a solace in the thought

that God was looking out for his girlfriend and him. He loved her so much and he prayed

God to keep their hearts together.

Day's march through our lives like a sad parade

Our laughter and tears our hopes and fears

And I keep remembering things I forget to say

And perhaps someday I let you know my dear that

While you sleep sometimes...

I pray the lord our hearts to keep while you sleep

They had run the governer off but at what cost. It seemed like there

was finally to to grieve and they did. Rick, Michonne, and Daryl had

brought back the surviors of Woodbury and they were more than happy to

pick up any slack that they had as thanks for saving their lives. Maggie and Glenn

had just gotten engaged, so the night after the Woodbury residents had

dispersed Maggie sat in Glenn's lap as they all talked and told stories

about the ones that they had lost. For the first time in a long time

hope and laughter rang through the group as the congratulated

the new happy couple on their engagement. And that night while Maggie

slept Glenn prayed and thanked God for an answered prayer.
