"I hope I'm not interrupting anything, but," and Gojyo was merely curious, "why are we still here?"

Goku munched away at a hamburger and shrugged. Not that he cared much, anyway. Munchmunch.

Gojyo stared at Sanzo. Sanzo glared back, but otherwise, there was no real response.

Gojyo stared at Hakkai. Hakkai raised an eyebrow and sipped at his mug. Turned a page in the book on the table.

Gojyo tried again. "It's noon."

Munchmunch. Swallow. "It is?" Goku glanced at a passing waitress' watch. "It is. Didn't know that."

Gojyo resisted the urge to sigh, and ended up looking like he was going to pass out. He eyed a few rear ends, winked at a few pretties, tapped his finger against the chair.

"Hakuryuu's sick." Hakkai finally said, turning a page. Gojyo sat up and looked straight at his companion, ready for a more detailed response.

Not forthcoming. Hakkai had lapsed back into silence, eyes on the book.

"Ah."

"Nn."

"So, uh." Like pulling teeth. "How long will he be out?"

More silence. Geez, what was wrong with everyone today? Gojyo had no clue, but he was getting pretty antsy. The women in this town were HAWT. Damn.

He got up to leave.

"Leave, and die."

He sat back down. Sanzo set the gun back into its holster.

"So when are we leaving, oh mighty Sanzo?"

"..." This was boring thirty minutes ago. Now it was just starting to get on his nerves.

"Hakuryuu's sick."

"You said that, I know."

"He's getting a tune-up." Turn. Sip.

Blink. "A what?"

"A tune-up. A maintenance check to make sure he, well, runs right. Performance checking, like that."

Yawn. "Ohh, like what you and Sanzo do every night, eh?"

Silence.

Munch - pause. "What are you talking about, Gojyo?"

"Just signing my death sentence, monkey."

(end)

(note: Jiffylube, just in case there's some confusion, is a car maintenance garage. Checkups on cars, fix flat tires, change oil, stuff like that. Hakuryuu is generally okay as a dragon, so I figure a dragon jiffylube is basically an inn, anyway. Perhaps there was a dragon doctor at the inn? Who knows. I just wanted to write something, dammit. Didn't even know where it was going.)
