KIRO'S STAR
Chapter 1
The master and the padawan
Siani Aigen'es walked to her quarters, her sanctuary. The thoughts of her mission had subsided for now, and the thoughts of choosing a Padawan arose. She arrived and accessed the door. It opened silently, revealing a young Padawan going through her things.
"Why are you here, Padawan?" Siani asked. The Padawan made no attempt to answer her, but ran out of her room. She sighed and sat at her desk. It wasn't the first time it happened, and probably not the last. Siani didn't look up when she felt the presence of her friend, "you may enter, Master Kenobi."
Obi-Wan entered his hands neatly tucked in his sleeves, "a Padawan again?"
"Yes," she answered tiredly. She rested her forehead on her palm, "I wonder why I fascinate them so much."
"Perhaps because they want to be your apprentice," Obi-Wan suggested, "in any case my friend you should choose a Padawan, anyone in mind?"
"Yes. Tiv," Siani answered looking Obi-Wan in the eye.
Tiv sat in her quarters and looked at her datapad. Another day, and no master.
"Why won't they choose me?" she asked herself. Tiv sighed, knowing the answer to her question. Her father had be a Sith and her mother, a Jedi. Her appearance did nothing to make the senate feel safe with her being trained. Her hair was white and she had cut it short; except for the long Padawan braid. She had a slight tan and wore light colored clothing, but her eyes. Her eyes were what scared the senators; they were creature-like eyes and the color of off-white. Her planets culture though…that was a popular debate topic among the senators. On her plant a daughter followed her father, Tiv knew this all too well.
"My way is the way of the Jedi," she muttered. She thought of her friend, Siani. Siani had no Padawan and was a favorite among the young female Padawans. She was tall with light brown hair to her jaw and a single light green braid that was in the back. Her green eyes studied situations with care. No one really knew her though, not even Tiv. She would give advice to Tiv and help her with studying.
"Don't worry you'll get a master soon enough," Siani would say to Tiv. For all the hope that
was left in the galaxy Tiv wanted to believe her, but she found it hard."Tiv?" Obi-Wan asked.
"Yes, she works hard and doesn't give up. Even when the situation seems impossible ," Siani answered. Obi-Wan smiled.
"She's not so different from you is she?" he asked. Siani shook her head.
"No…no she's not," she smiled.
