I've wanting to start writing again and I got this idea last night and decided to give it a shot.
Disclaimer: If I owned Once Upon a Time, season 4 would have never happened. So, no, I don't own Once Upon a Time.
Her eyelids are heavy with exhaustion, her legs are swollen from carrying her, and her heart is aching with regrets. Her body is tired, but her heart is still that of a mother. So, she summons enough strength to walk to the couch and put up the warmest smile she can manage for her daughter.
"How are you?" Said Emma with a sympathetic look.
"I was about to ask you the same." Replied Snow
"I know you are worried about me, but you are always looking after me and hiding your pain so everyone can deal with theirs, and feel better, and move on. It's time that you deal with yours, and I'm not going anywhere until you've let it out, so you better start now."
"It just doesn't seem to end."
"What, the bad guys? You always tell me to have hope, that love can conquer all." Said Emma with a bit of confusion and skepticism.
Snow sighed before looking down and saying, "It's more complicated than that. Ever since I was running from Regina, I've wanted nothing more but to get rid of the responsible for the pain in our lives. I want to curse the one that is to blame for you growing up alone, for Henry feeling unwanted, for the people who were taken from their families to be brought to this town. I want to make them pay for separating this family and for constantly taking someone we love. I've blamed Regina, I've blamed Cora, and every single villain we've ever faced, but I have realized that defeating them doesn't make it stop. I see Regina like an ally now, like a friend. She has changed, but this hasn't stopped. But when I look at the mirror I see a broken princess, one that didn't live up to be the leader her kingdom deserved, one that put them all in danger when she was supposed to keep them safe. A mother who put the weight of the world in the shoulders of her newborn baby. A wife that is unworthy of the love of her husband. A leader that leads to destruction. I see the one to blame for everyone's misery. I see her and I wish she was dead. I wish she was buried in the darkest, deepest, and coldest place in all the realms so she could never bring darkness to anyone's life."
