Everyone else was learning choreography for the musical, but being a lead, I had to sit out. I sat with Kendal, huddled around her phone watching some horror movie called 'The Drowning.' I can picture it so clearly, the red head girl, about our age trapped in a tube filled to the brim with water. Screaming. The lights in the auditorium flickered as I gasped as everyone on the stage suddenly vanished. In there place stood a single girl, her skin as white as the moon, and hair as black as the night around it.
"What a good attempt," she laughed. "To recreate my pain."
This could not have been happening. "Who are you?" I whispered softly.
"Silence wench!" the girl shouted. "I am the demonriss, now let me tell my story." I decided I would keep quiet and let the freak tell her story, out of fear she'd bite my head off. "I was once that girl," she boomed. "And nobody cared to save me, so I died."
"Way to sugarcoat it," Kendal mumbled.
"Did I ask you to speak?!" the demonriss wailed. Kendal shook her head. "As I was saying, I died. People thought it was funny, that it would be a good story to scare their friends with. Selena Gomez made a great attempt as well," she waved her hand and a hologram of some sort of demented Selena Gomez video appeared. I watched as Selena jerked her head back and forth while screaming like a banshee. "That's enough," the demonriss waved the video away with a disgusted look.
"Well what are you telling us all this for?" Kendal gave me a puzzled look.
The demonriss screeched as her eyes filled with the anger of a thousand fires. "We spoke about this already, no speaking! I was telling you all of this because you're gonna need at some point in your life, but since you don't want the ending, I'll guess you'll never survive."
"Survive what?" I asked, panicking; but it was too late, for she had already disappeared with a puff of smoke. So was she some kind of sorcerer now to?
Without warning the auditorium transformed into a giant pool, and Kendal disappeared. Where was I? Why the pool? What did the demonriss mean when she said I would need her information? Suddenly, the answer to all of these questions became clear; as a giant metal claw threw me into the pool. I tried to swim up for air, but I was to far down, and before I reached the top, a roof had formed over the pool. I was trapped. Just like demonriss was. I was going to die. Just as she did. I screamed, water filling my lungs and I pounded on the thick metal roof, trying to break free, but it was no use. I felt my vision go blurry as my lungs began to burn. I wish I would have let her finish her story. Those were my final thoughts, before it all went black.
