Disclaimer: Government is such a bore, so I came up with this. I had to borrow characters from CS Lewis to make this story though. Sorry if I disgraced them in anyway.
Never again will Peter live. Of course he will breathe. He will also eat, drink, and do all the other bodily functions needed to survive. But he will never truly live again. His friends are all dead. No more caring friends, who helped in a time of need.
The Beavers, with their never ending hospitality. Most Mrs. Beaver and how she mothered them when they had no real mother. She fed them cod and other fish caught by Mr. Beaver. Both of them became like an aunt and uncle to them. Like family.
Peter was not even sure if he wanted to continue being. As he walked around the ruins of Cair Paravel he knew that his Narnia would never be the same. He could sense, as all kings of Narnia could, that Narnia has now became a desperate place.
Then there was Mr. Tumnus. Nervous, loyal, Mr. Tumnus. Though he was Lucy friend first, and her dearest friend of all, even with the age difference, he was a friend to all of them. Mr. Tumnus was loyal to a fault and helped his Kings and Queens out of many scrapes, including that nasty business is Calormen near the end of our reign. Though he never picked up a sword to defend us, he definitely defended us with words. During the beginning of our reign, when people said that we were too young, he would be the first to jump up and say that we were chosen by Aslan and fit the bill for Royalty quite nicely.
As he walked around the place he knew to be the courtyard he thought of how he trained here. For hours on end for days, weeks, months, and years he trained to become strong enough to defend his country. He learned leadership and love here is this court yard. He knew the time has come to practice those techniques again.
General Oreius was without a doubt the person that Peter looked up to in his younger years. He, too, was intensely loyal, and just intense. Though a little to serious for his liking, he was faithful, protecting his sovereignty to the point of over protectiveness and when you got to know him a bit more you saw the kinder side, hidden away. Oreius's sense of humor was hard to follow, though when you got used to it he was pretty amusing. Whenever the Kings or Queens had a problem he was a person they knew they could talk too. Even if the problem was on romance or self-doubt. Oreius loved them as if they were his own children; in a way they were.
As Peter went to rejoin his siblings he knew of only one person who would still be alive. The person who held the utmost love in the Four's hearts.
Aslan was truly Magnificent, Valiant, Just and Gentle. He was everything that the four children tried to be like when they reigned, and when they returned to England. Aslan would always appear and help them survive when they needed him and always helped when they prayed for it. Nothing could compare with their love of Him. Not even the love of Narnia and each other.
Please tell me what you think. All advice is good advice, unless you are deliberately being cruel.
