Gabriella stood up and collected her books when the bell rang. She heaved them into her bag and slung it over her shoulder. "Oh, Miss Montez, may I have a word?" Mrs. Anderson asked.
Gabriella came to a halt in front of the door. "Ummm, sure," she turned on her heel towards the teacher's desk.
"I was wonder ing if..." Mrs. Anderson's voice turned dark and devilish and her face went distorted. Gabriella shook her head and blinked rapidly.
Mrs. Anderson's face and voice went back to normal. "Is something wrong, hun"
"Oh, no, ma'am. Sorry, I just zoned out for a moment. What were you needing?" Gabriella qustioned politely.
"I was wondering if you'd be up for a kind of study group with Miss Evans?" Mrs. Anderson explained. "She's not doing too well in science"
"Oh, alright. Sure, I'd love to," Gabriella replied. A chill went down her spine and left a cold kiss on her back, where it lingered for just a moment.
She felt as if there was another person in the room. An unwelcome prescence. This made her feel unsure of her surroundings and she glanced around the classroom. Nope, no one else in the room.
"Great, well, I'm sure there's somewhere you have to be. See you tomorrow," Mrs. Anderson smiled warmly.
"Bye!" Gabriella called, waving cheerfully and shaking those creepy feelings. She skipped down the hallway and to her locker to put her things away for lunch.
