AN: I don't write enough femslash, so have a light femslash with Hannah and Susan. Written for Ralinde's Pairing Diversity Boot Camp to the prompt merry-go-round

Candy Floss:

"Hannah! Wait!"

The blonde witch stopped what she was doing and looked over her shoulder. She had decided to go to one of the muggle carnivals. It seemed like fun, the only thing she hadn't expected would to see a fellow Hogwarts Alumni while there. Hannah smiled as he waved at the redhead coming towards her. "Susan!" She greeted with a friendly smile and wave.

Susan Bones was her best friend and a fellow Hufflepuff from school. After school and the war the two had kept in touch by owls. They were both busy with their own lives, Hannah had just started working at the Leaky Caldron and Susan was in training to be a healer at St. Mungo's. It was a pleasant surprise and something the afternoon could need.

"Didn't expect to see you here." Susan greeted her with a smile. "What are you doing at a muggle carnival?"

Hannah only shrugged, blonde hair falling over her shoulder. "I could ask you the same thing?"

Susan looped her arm around Hannah's and the two of them began walking around. She only smiled and shook her head. "I work here, every summer I volunteer here. I mean, it's close to where I live so I thought why not."

"Oh," Hannah was a bit surprised. She thought she knew everything about her best friend but she guessed not. It wasn't a bad surprise though, it was a pleasant surprise. She was always happy to learn new things about people. It kept her on her toes.

"So!" Susan looked over at her with a smile. "Is this the first muggle carnival you've been to? If so, anything you want to try or do first? Win a goldfish? Ride the merry-go-round?"

Hannah stopped walking, glancing over at something that had caught her eye. "Susan?" She tried to get the attention of the ginger. "What is this?" To her left was a line of children and adults alike in line for something. It looked pink and fluffy, it was certainly interesting.

Susan glanced over at the machine. "Oh! It's called candy floss. It's a sweet treat that's normally a best seller at these things. Do you want some? I can go get some for you." Before Hannah could answer, Susan was in line and people were already falling in behind her.

The blonde stood there for at least ten minutes before Susan reappeared with the candy floss in hand. "Here! For you!"

Hannah nodded, taking it from her friend. "Thanks Susan."

Susan nodded as she watch her friend break off a piece and eat it. In that moment, Susan got a feeling in her stomach, she didn't know what it was but she wanted to find out. She cleared her throat after a moment. "So, how about that merry-go-round? Sound good?"

Hannah nodded, pulling off another piece. "Yeah, sounds good."
