A conversation between Stephan Franklin and Susan, when Susan is on the floor of MedLab 1 and Stephan Finds her there crying over Marcus' death. The conversation is put to the song Without You by Jonathan Larson. Please R&R thanks.

"I can't believe he's gone, Stephan. When I was waking up I could hear someone say ' I love you Susan' and I thought it was God calling me. But it wasn't Stephan, it wasn't, It was Marcus all along. I think I loved him." I began to sob.

Without You
the ground thaws
the rain falls
the grass grows

"I don't know what to do, I'm so lost. He's gone and I just want everything to stop. But it doesn't. Everything carries on. Why does it have to hurt so much?" I asked

"I know it hurts Susan. I know. It suppose to, it's the way the heart heals, it has to break into a million pieces, to mend itself the right way." Stephan reassured me.

"I don't think it will ever mend" I replied as I hugged Stephan.

the seeds root
the flowers bloom
the children play

As I remained crying in Stephan's arms, he braced himself against the window of Medlab 1, so he could keep himself from falling over.

"Everything is going to be alright…Eventually" Stephan reassured

"When I figured out it was Marcus, I tried to take the machine off…but I couldn't. I tried so hard… I should have tried hard Stephan I should have tried harder." I cried into his shoulder.

The stars gleam
the poets dream
the eagles fly

"Before I got hit, I was staring at the stars. They were so beautiful out there. He saved my life. I miss him so." I said.

"I know Susan, I know. He was barely alive when I found him. There was nothing I could do. I'm sorry Susan." Stephan said.

"I know Stephan, I'm sorry too." I replied.

The earth turns

"May I make a request, Stephan?" I asked.

"Of course Susan." Stephan answered.

"Will you walk me to my quarters? I just don't want to have to walk alone right now, without him." I replied
