Agony and Memories

There's nothing that I can say or do,

Because your not there to pull me through,

And my heart breaks as my soul screams out,

Sweet agony and distant memories.

Now the night descends on New York city,

And the darkness seems to hide the path,

Day-break is an eternity away,

Black agony and painful memories.

You turned me away with your cold words,

Yet dragged me into you frigid world,

Can you be content to feel this way,

Bitter aginy and pityful memories.

I ran from you, I tried to forget,

But your face haunts my dreams – plagues my life,

Your only love lies in unending sleep,

White agony and pityful memories.

Her love was strong, but not for you,

She turned you away, as you turn from me too,

You love her spirit as I love you,

Cold agony and harsh memories.

I thought that you could learn to love me,

Comfusing life for a fairytale,

Prehaps they were right about you,

Cruel agony and deluded memories.

I returned to see you one last time,

You're no longer radiating dark power,

Lost and alone in a rejoicing world,

Shaired agony and confused memories.

Sweet hope builds up inside my body,

Happiness flows through me like hot flames,

Maybe now you are ready to love,

No agony and blissful memories.
