The vampire squatted down in the bushes. He was picking up thoughts that he didn't know who they were coming from. This is Edward, by the way. From Twilight. In case you were wondering. Anyway, Edward peeked out from the bushes. He saw a figure, about 15, black Avatar jacket, black T-shirt with white skull on it, black pants. Pale skin, like Edward. He had pith-black hair. Thoughts swirled around in his head. Thoughts Edward didn't understand. He wanted to get back to Bella, but decided to stick around. The boy turned and face Edward. Edward didn't think the boy could see him, but he still ducked down a little bit.

The figure was now walking toward Edward's bush, hand on the hilt of a sword that Edward had not seen before. He jumped up, prepared to fight, but when the boy saw him, he stopped and unsheathed his sword. It was a blade that was as black as his hair. Sharp, yet short. But still intimidating. "Who are you?" the boy said. The boy's voice was kinda high-pitched, yet had a tone that said don't mess with me. "I am Edward." "Nico di Angelo." "Pleased to meet you." "I guess so, too." There was an awkward silence between the Nico and Edward.

Nico's thoughts swirled in Edward's head: Percy Jackson, son of Hades, outcast no more, I have a home?, Jason Grace, Hazel, death boy, never belong, who is this guy? "Son of Hades?" Nico flinched. Had he read my thoughts? "Yes, I did. I can read minds. A special ability being a vampire that is." Nico stepped back. "Don't worry. I don't bite." He laughed at his own joke. "You don't have fangs." "So?" "Vampires have fangs." "Maybe the ones you read in books, but not us." Nico looked around, "There are more of you here?" Edward smiled politely, "No just me. My family, my wife and daughter are at home."

"I never knew that vampires got together, had sex and kids." Nico said."You must not now a lot then," Edward said. Nico took that as an insult. He sheathed his sword. Where exactly are you from. I mean what century?" "Hard to say. I've been alive for a long time." "I'm not from this century." "Oh?" "Yeah I was pulled out of time with my sister, Bianca, when I was ten. I was born in the 1930's."

Edward smiled. The young boy had something in common with him. "Well, then, Mr. Nico di Angelo. Don't you have somewhere to be?" Nico looked up at him. "Nah. I figured I'd hang with you. In that case, can you keep up?" He sped off in the distance and landed on top of the cliff. "Can you beat that, Nico?" he shouted. Nico smiled and melted into the shadows. He appeared behind Edward. "I believe I just did." Edward jumped and looked behind him. "How did you do that?" "You're not the only one with secrets."

The End
