His mother a squib, with Slytherin blood.
His father a muggle, who abandoned her.
A bright boy orphaned at birth.
That wanted revenge.
Who was exposed to the worst ideals.
Who only acted on them in spite.
Who had nothing left to lose.
But he was human.
He had a soul.
Lord Voldemort does not have a heart.
He has no past.
He has split his soul.
Sold it to the devil.
Has the blood on his hands.
Acts like a pureblood.
Has an army of death eaters.
Has a fear of death.
Is not human to any degree.
They are one person-the same person.
Tom Marvalo Riddle-I am Lord Voldemort.
But there's one difference separating them.
Tom Riddle was an abandoned boy who feared a broken heart and has never known love.
He had a heart.
He was human.
Lord Voldemort was not human.
He split his soul.
He feared death.
Had no morals or limits.
Did not want love.
Lord Voldemort had to die.
Tom Riddle died long ago.
Lord Voldemort does not have a soul.
Tom Riddle lost his long ago.
Lord Voldemort couldn't die.
Tom Riddle didn't want to.
Lord Voldemort feared death above all else.
Tom Riddle feared a broken heart.
Lord Voldemort did not know of love.
Tom Riddle didn't understand it.
Lord Voldemort was truly evil.
Tom Riddle was a confused little boy.
It takes someone truly heartless to kill when they know their target. Know your enemy; let your target remain nameless. It makes them human. Even if they sold their soul. But Voldemort isn't human (if you keep telling yourself that you might believe it, ease your guilt) and Tom Riddle is long dead.
