Ben Skywalker walked his younger cousin Allana to her bedroom in his Aunt and Uncle's apartment on Coruscant. Leia and Han were off somewhere with Luke and Ben was watching her till they came home.
"I still can't believe you're my cousin Ben!" The five year old redhead said which made Ben laugh, Allana told him that a lot.
As they entered Allana's room Ben spotted the stuffed Tauntaun Jacen had given to her right before Mara was killed. Allana crawled into bed and put the covers over herself.
"Don't you need me to put them over you?"
"I'm a big girl Ben! I'm already five years old!"
Ben smiled. He looked around, a lot of stuffed animals were on his cousins bed.
"Get to sleep Allana. It's almost nine thirty."
"Wait! Grandma always tells me a bedtime story."
Ben wasn't sure how to react. He wasn't good at telling stories, but Allana was his cousin so they decided to just make something up.
"What kind of story?"
"Tell me about the time Grandpa and Grandma were on Cloud
City with Chewie and Lando!"
Ben knew about that story so he deiced to.
"OK, once upon a time Grandma Leia, Grandpa Han and your Uncle Luke were apart of the Rebel Alliance, they were trying to take down the Empire which was led by a very bad man named Darth Vader. 22 years before he was burnt by lava on the volcanic planet Mustafar in the Outer Rims. The Rebel's base was located on the snowy planet Hoth. The Imperial's attacked the base, Grandpa and Grandma along with Chewie and Threepio fled to Cloud City in the Falcon while Uncle Luke went with Artoo to the Dagobah System.
"Why did Uncle Luke go to Dagobah?" Allana asked curiously.
"So he could train as a Jedi. The force ghost of Obi-Wan Kenobi, who I am named after told Luke to go to Dagobah and officially become a Jedi Knight. While on Dagobah Uncle Luke's ship crashed and he came across Yoda, a little green creature who was secretly once a Jedi. Yoda taught him thr ways of the force. Back on Cloud City Darth Vader and a bounty hunter named Boba Fett were secretly already there. Darth Vader was after Luke but frooze Grandpa Han in Carbonite.
Allana gasped. "That's terrible!"
"But Vader didn't mean to. So Luke arrived on Cloud City and tried to save them but it was too late. Boba Fett already took Grandpa Han. Leia, Lando, Chewie and Threepio were already leaving. Uncle Luke confronted Vader and they had a lightsaber fight. Vader cut off Luke's hand and revealed a dark secret know one knew about, Vader was his father.
Allana gasped again and Ben realized Allana didn't know. He had just dropped the bomb. "Ben, am I related to Vader?"
Ben nodded his head slowly. "Yes you are. I know it's hard to realize but he wasn't a bad man. Just very confused.
"What am I too him?"
"His Great-Granddaughter."
"How come Grandma Leia never told me?"
"Because she didn't want to upset you."
"I'm not upset. Just surprised. Grandma tells me Darth Vader was a good man."
"Deep down inside he was."
Allana yawned. "I'm tired."
"Alright, get to bed kiddo."
Allana laid down and Ben kisses her on the forehead. Allana hugged him and he hugged her back. "I love you Cousin Ben."
Ben was surprised to hear that. But she was family after all. "I love you too."
