Another world meeting in another city and China wanted nothing more than to find his assigned hotel room and fall asleep for the night. He tiredly trudged down a hallway trying to read the numbers as they appeared on the doors, the strap of his bag cutting into his shoulder and no longer able to stifle the large yawns. His room should be around here somewhere…

"Ah! I can't believe you! I wanted that country!"

China paused. That voice had sounded like America behind one of the closed doors. It wasn't odd that America could be heard out in the hallway, but what was he talking about other countries? A large comfy bed called to him and China would have left had it not been for the giggle the followed.

"I cannot allow you to have an entire continent to yourself, da?"

Russia? And America? Together? China stared at a door to his right, listening carefully. It was late, so what could the two of them being doing together? And why would America be here? The world meeting was in New York City and there would be no need for him to stay in this hotel.

"Fuck you, Ivan. I'll just have to take Scandinavia then"

China blinked. This conversation was strange, and something didn't seem right. Easing his bag to the floor, China quietly snuck closer to the door and pressed an ear against it, attempting to better hear what was happening inside.

"Then Indonesia will become one with Mother Russia."

"Go ahead and try. I won't let you take it from me."

It was quiet for a minute and China pressed himself further against the door. He almost fell backwards when America suddenly started shouting.

"Ha! Take that Commie Bastard!"

"You will wake everyone, Alfred. Do you want to let everyone know what we are doing? You might be more tolerable during this if you were to fill that gaping hole in your head with food."

"Ate it all already."

China could feel his heart beginning to race. A secret meeting between two large and powerful nations where they were openly discussing taking over the other countries? This was his nightmare for years, and now it seemed that they were planning something behind closed doors. Did any other nations know?

"I will have control of everything. The entire world will be mine."

There was a soft giggle. "No, not all of it."

China backed away from the door, his blood chilling in his veins. He had to find someone to tell them what was going on. Bag entirely forgotten, he ran back down the hallway he had just come.

Russia rested his head on his hand as he looked across the table at America. "Admit it. Our armies are equally matched."

America frowned as he stared at the board. "If I can defeat you in Europe then I'll have the advantage."

Russia sighed as he reached for the dice to defend himself against America's attack. "When you suggested this game, I didn't expect it would last this long."

"Hey! Risk is all about strategy. I had just hoped you wouldn't have caught on so fast…"

Russia smiled. "You were using secret tactics in order to gain an unfair advantage?"

America raised an eyebrow. "Dude, don't act like that. You would do the same."

The following day found America, Russia, and China all looking haggard as they attended the meeting and no one seemed able to discern why they needed extra cups of coffee, or why it was China kept flinching and staring at America and Russia.

AN: I usually see them playing chess, but Risk seems like just as likely a game for the two of them to play.

"Hahaha! Democracy: 1, Communism: 0. I just totally pwned your army!"
