-1Evanescent Crimson

He leaves her there, where he found her; unmoving, both.

The slow exsanguination, so swift had been.

Her crimson,

Her life upon his lips still wet.

Still warm.

Her heart not beating.

Her life gone,

Transferred, at least, to him.

A stir,

One awkward breath,

She rises.

Cool heart still,

Cool skin alive.

Her final breath, her first in a new life.

Forward, slowly,

She sees him now through new eyes.

No longer awkward she does stand.

She knows him now,

Intimately.

Intimacy,

The crimson they have shared.

The blood that doesn't run,

It runs in both their veins'

The evanescent crimson, the life that isn't life.
