False Pandemonium

But we have to let the inferior minds at have some hope of fiction

Incident in the Park

Leonard was on the floor being held in Penny's arms. Blood exiting from his wound and mouth, he'd been shot in the stomach after a masked man demanded his cash and anything valuable, in which Leonard failed to deliver "I-I love you p-penny, I'm s-so sorry… I… I couldn-n't… give… you… everything… you… wanted." he managed to get out, his breathing was rapid.

"Shh! its okay, come on don't talk like that, the ambulance is on its way. I've told the guys to come quickly." she tried to sound positive, tears welled up in her eyes "You've already given me what I wanted." She smiled holding him tighter. In her softest voice "you're going to be a daddy… I was going to tell you at dinner tonight" she kissed him on the forehead and her hand combing his hair. "I can't take care of this baby on my own can I?" trying to add some humour.

Leonard looked into his girl's eyes will regret and guilt "I'-I'm sorry.", his breathing became slower "I'm sorry… I'm sorry for the all the things I have done to... to upset you in the past I never meant to..." She smiled at Penny "P-Please don't name it after S-Sheldon." He smirked. He knew he didn't have much time. He wasn't scared, he just had regret; he wanted to do a lot more in life.

After a few attempts of routing in his pockets, he pulled out a small navy blue velvet box. He managed to open it and inside was the most gorgeous ring; it was the same design as the 'One Ring' with the Mordor Inscription on the inside and on the outer was a small diamond in the center and snowflakes ached in different positions on the circumference of the ring. He took hold of ring and slid it on Penny's ring finger. Penny was shocked she nodded and nodded and leaned her head over Leonard's lips and kissed him "I… love you and..." he coughed a few time expelling any blood before he continued "and the b-baby with all my heart" he gleamed at the word 'baby', he suddenly felt almost fulfilled. He hoped his mother will finally realize that he had accomplished something for 'once' on his own. "You kn-know… I always have and always will lo-love… you." he took one deep breath "Ple-ase do-don't stop loving-" He was interrupted by Penny.

Rubbing his chest and stroking his hair "I love you too with my all heart and I promise I won't stop loving. You're going to be fine; you'll make it. We both are going to get married and have our child and…" she continued talking about their future family and where they were going to live. She didn't recognise that Leonard wasn't answering back.

She stopped talking suddenly, her facial expression changed. "Leonard? Leonard? Leonard honey?" She shook him vigorously wanting him to wake up "P- P-Please… Please don't leave me Leonard!" she screamed and cried "Leonard... I love you..." she whispered. She stayed with Leonard still cradling him in her arms, not letting anyone near him, not even the rescue services.

It wasn't until Sheldon and the others arrived, that they persuaded the police that they were roommates and friends of Leonard's and Penny's and they could help Penny let go and hand over Leonard's body.

As they got closer, Sheldon could hear a familiar song being sung, she was singing Soft Kitty softly to comfort Leonard not settling for fact that he's passed on, just thinking he was alive but just asleep. She stopped and looked up at them and started to sob. Sheldon being Sheldon realised that the song wasn't complete, he hated uncompleted things carried on where Penny had stopped. She wanted to be alone at this point in time but, she knew the guy would stick around like flies to manure.

Raj and Howard knelt down and held Penny tightly as they could and began to cry with her. It was a few minutes after that they stood up together and move away from Leonard. She was wondering why at first, but it hit her like a train, the guys where handing over her Leonard to the Police. She struggled to move back to Leonard as the guy had their hands around her. She cried even more and cursed their names, but they wouldn't budge. She fell to her knees crying hectically. She leaned onto Howards shoulder, looking at the coroner moving Leonard's body into a black sac.

Penny's Apartment after Leonard's death

Days after the death of Leonard, Penny was in bed in the Fetal position trying crying herself to sleep, she it didn't doesn't matter how hard she tries. Her mind was on hers and Leonard's last conversation. Penny held his superman tee-shirt so close her chest, his aroma as dense as a fogstill lingered. She had confined herself in her apartment, not speaking to no one not even Amy or Bernadette.

She was finally about to drop off to sleep after hours of crying, when she heard a noise like her door opening and closing. She was spooked at first because it was locked, but then wanted to investigate. She got up with Leonard's tee-shirt still in hand and grabbed the Nebraskan bat next to her bed and wandered slowly into the living room, to her surprise no one was there, just an empty room. She shivered 'god its freezing in here' she thought, than remembering what Leonard had said one cold morning after sex when Penny said it was freezing "You know it's technically it's impossible to be freezing otherwise you would be dead" she had slapped him playfully between the legs for that remark before she kissed him passionately. It made Penny chuckle. She turned around to head towards her bedroom when dropped the bat on the ground, she thought she was hallucinating or going whackadoddle like Sheldon.

Penny froze on the spot "Leonard!" She cried still in shock, unable to off eyes of whatever it was.

Leonard stared and smiled his largest grin "Hey you, you never let me finish what I wanted to say. I so I got a chance to hey goodbye properly." He Laughed.

"I never believed you when you said spirits were real… I do now… I love you Penny…"

I love you too Leonard… I'm sorry I didn't marry you legally, every day I feel guilty because I refused you when you proposed in bed. I knew that you were the right man, the first second you got back from your expedition from the North Pole." Penny carried on with a few more things she wanted to apologise for everything, for example losing him for Pyria.

"You've got to promise me that'll move on in life after I'm gone, don't get left behind. I also promise to you when the time comes I'll be waiting" she started crying, more on to sobering.

"I don't want to move on... It's hard without you, I'm so lost… I'll never be able to get over you." she wiped away the tears and continued stroking her stomach "I want our baby to become his father's prodigy and life's work."

"My life's work was I already accomplished … I found… you… You love me for who I am and not what I did. Don't do what my mother did to me when I was young, let the child choose its own destiny" Leonard stood up and walked over to Penny. Leonard wrapped his arms around Penny although she couldn't hug back she thought save and content in his arms.

"Please don't go."

Leonard sighed "I think you should go back to bed." Penny protested but he took no notice. "You'll be a lot happier if you do." after much prompting she caved in and jumped into bed, she could feel the bed lowering as though someone had gotten in, she turned her head found it the be Leonard and smiled and agreed that this indeed felt better . He snuggled up closer embracing her as she started to fall asleep.

Wake up call

Penny woke up all sweaty; her PJ's were all wet and sticking to her. She pulled back the covers and sat up leaned against the headboard rubbing away sleepiness in her eyes. She glanced over to her alarm clock and was surprised to see it was only 4:30AM. She turned her eyes towards the other side of the bed; she looked confused as all the sheets where winkled and folded back. Penny started to breathe shallowly and rapidly. Her heart also began to race. She got worried and then upset.

"Leonard? Leonard?" A second after, Leonard ran in and practically took a couple of large steps and jumped onto the bed and wrapped his arms around her, he'd been in the living room sat on the couch doing some research and devising a plan for a proper marriage proposal.

He held her with a worrying look "Hey. Whatsup lovebug? I'm here now... are you ok?

Penny shook her head and still catching her breath. She still had the look of panic on her face. "Just a bad dream and well... I'm a little better now" she snuggled further into Leonard chest "I love you Leonard."

At the sound of what Penny announced made his heart miss a beat. "I love you too Penny; you don't know how happy it makes me feel right now to hear you say those words … anyway, what made you say them?"

"Just the dream… it was was about…" she took a deep breath and wrapped her arms around Leonard "I was pregnant with your child… you died and you came back as a ghost, it was horrible." Penny began to sniff "Promise me you won't leave me."

"You know Penny it's been proven that ghosts aren't real." Penny gave him a scouring look, which made him realize, that what he just shared wasn't in-fact helping. "Oh right… sorry. Hmm… ohh it sounds awful…" he tried to save himself from the situation but he knew he was failing "I promise I won't leave you…" he stopped for a few seconds to think. Penny realized from his facial expression he had his thinking cap on. He suddenly out of nowhere he snapped back to reality with an outburst "I have something that will make you feel better." He flung himself off the bed and out of Penny's apartment.

Leonard returned few minutes later with something small in his left hand; so far Penny couldn't tell what it was. He walked back nervously into the bedroom and sat down next to Penny. He strategically planted the small object on the other of his body, so Penny couldn't have a sneak peek at it. He turned Penny attention away from the object onto him by grabbing her hands.

He waited a moment or two to construct a sentence that sounded romantic. He was shaking slightly; he cleared his throat a couple of times. By now Penny started to get less worried about her dream, and more nervous to what Leonard was about to say. "Penny" he stopped again. This time he took a couple of breaths to calm himself down before, he ran though one final simulation in his head. "Penny, you already know how I feel about you and am pretty damn sure you feel the same way…" he grabbed hold of the object next to him, but waited before showing it. By now Penny's heart was racing, this time it was for a totally different reason. "Since the first moment I met you I knew somehow that you was the one. Even though Sheldon, Howard and Raj took the micky, I didn't give up. We finally got together the first moment I got back from the North Pole and you made me the happiest man alive. Even with everything that went on between us I still loved you and I still you love now. So I want to return the compliment and make you the happiest women on Earth. I was going to save this till we go to Geneva next year on St Valentine's Day" At that moment Leonard pull the small object away from its cover. The small object in question was a small black velvet box. He bent down on one knee next to the bed and opened the box to reveal a beautiful gold ring with a small diamond. "I know it's not the most romantic place to do it but I don't think it matters where; if you love someone."

Penny's hands instantly covered her mouth, she was speechless, here was the man who she broke the heart so many time before, asking her to marry him. Penny looked straight into Leonards brown eyes and saw how much he loved her. Tears started to form in her eyes, she still couldn't believe it. She jumped out of bed and knelt down in-front him and wrapping her arms around his neck and kissed him on his lips; it was the longest kiss she has ever given anyone. "If you still can't figure out the answer from that Dr Hofstadter, maybe you need testing" she said teasingly with a leering grin. Penny held out her left hand waiting for Leonard to slide on the ring. Though, seeing the look on Leonard's face, she instantly regretted what she just said.

Leonard placed his hands around her waist, picked her up onto the bed and he moved his hands to her waist, stomach and under arms and started tickling her. She struggled getting out of his tickling death grip "Ahh!" she screamed playfully "Stop it! I'm sorry…." She was hitting and fidgeting, struggling, finally she hit him playfully between the legs. He stopped and rolled on to his side, clutching his jewels letting out a yelp of pain. She rolled him on his back. And got on top of him looking into his brown eyes "Sorry, did I hurt you?" she kissed his neck and lips, she got the ring out from the box and slid it on her ring finger herself "Mrs Penny Hofstadter" Her other hand moved from his chest to his stomach and then further down. She looked at Leonard with seductive smile; "I love you Dr Hofstadter" sliding her lips on to his...

Penny and Leonard were going out to dinner, niether one knew what the other was planning, like Penny telling Leonard she Pregnant and vice-verser with Leonards proposal. Both there plans are short lived. A masked man asks for valuables, the nerious man discharges his weapon into Leonard he dies and then he comes back to say goodbye properly as Penny never gave him a chance. In the final scene, it was a dream, shes realises how incredibly valuable Leonard and never wants him to leave, he declares how much he loves her by asking her to marry.

Maybe it was to much, with everything going on. but it was meant to be a One-shot. I've only recently decided to make chapters.
