A/N: Hi! :)) I am SO NOT GOOD at writing oneshots. XD I always have multi-chaptered fics in my mind. I need to write something short. XD Anyway, this is a oneshot. Yay! :D Enjoy the USUK, and please review! :)
Disclaimer: I own nothing, please. :) If I did, I'd be filthy rich! :))
Arthur laid back onto the picnic blanket, utterly exhausted from chasing Alfred around the field he first saw him in as a child. His right hand was entwined in his lover's, and his left was holding a doughnut. He sighed in a tired fashion, looking up at the clouds above him. That one looks like a slice of cake, he observed, chuckling slightly. He took a bite out of the doughnut in his hands, cringing at the overly-sweet flavor. Alfred had brought the food for their picnic, and he had brought them a box of Krispy Kreme doughnuts, coffee for himself, and tea for Arthur.
He felt the hand in his tug him closer, and the Brit moved to face the American. "So, do ya like the doughnut?" the blond man asked. The Brit took another bite of it, and shrugged.
"It's not that bad, actually. I guess it is a bit too sweet, but it's not bad," Arthur told him honestly. Alfred punched the air and took a sip of the coffee in his hands.
He gave a grin. "See, I knew you would love my food!" he said, snagging a doughnut for himself from the box. He took a bite and licked his lips, making Arthur blush a bit.
"Well, not all your food. My food is still the best," Arthur responded stubbornly. Alfred only found it cute and laughed, ruffling the green-eyed blond's hair then lying back on the blanket.
The two settled into a comfortable silence, both just looking up at the sky. "Hey," Arthur said, tugging gently at the hand in his. Hearing a small grunt, he continued, his eyes not leaving the cloud as he pointed at it, "That one looks like a turtle."
Alfred laughed in agreement. "With wings," he added. Arthur laughed as well, and they began looking for clouds that looked like things. Alfred spotted one, and pointed up at it. "That one looks like an island," he said.
Arthur studied it carefully. "It does. It looks like..." he said slowly, "me."
The American laughed then looked at it more closely before realizing that it did look like the country, "Yeah. I guess you're right, England," he replied, sitting up to finish his coffee and doughnut. He shut the box and laid down again.
Arthur snorted, finishing the doughnut in his hands. "Of course I am. I'm always right," he stated proudly. He licked his fingers clean, before sitting up to take a sip of his tea. Alfred tugged him down, and he complied. He laid back down on the blanket after drinking his tea, and closed his eyes for a moment.
They remained closed as he felt lips on his own. He eagerly kissed back, before Alfred pulled away. He opened his eyes to see a slightly surprised Alfred. "I thought you were asleep!" he said, laughing as he scratched the back of his head.
Arthur smiled, and leaned in closer to kiss him briefly. Alfred fell back onto the blanket, their hands still entwined. Arthur sat up once more for his tea. He stopped mid-sip as he felt the grip on his hand loosen. He turned to see a sleeping Alfred, and smiled fondly at his boyfriend. He leaned forward, and planted the softest of kisses on Alfred's lips. Pulling back, his lips curled back into a fond smile.
"Sweet dreams, America."
