Chapter One: drive To the cematary
Jack Blackstone was
staring out of the car window, looking out at the Cematary
that
was slowly looming up ahead. The
sky was taking on that late afternoon effect where the sun seemed to
be fighting the on coming darkens that threatened to
swallow it's light completely.
, The sun was now but a half glowing shape in the distance, which made the shadows of the grave stones and of the beautiful yet Gothic like church building seem to stretch over as if they were dark long fingers trying to pull you in.
Now I had never been fond of these sort of places, why you ask? well its a cematary full of dead bodies and forgotten lost souls of the past... I mean who wants to be reminded that there close friend, uncle or father is no longer with you! and yet here I was sitting in a back of a black car, going into a cematary to my late fathers funeral!. Still staring out the window with the thoughts of dad (the late Alfred Blackstone) "are you alright sweetheart" ? the voice snapped me out of my somewhat morbid thoughts.
" yea just a little exhausted with the whole, well you know... " I sighed rubbing My eyes with my fingers, I looked over to the woman next to Me with such concern and love in her eyes, god I loved her, Tina the one and only love in My life she could make me feel better just being next to her.
" I know this has been hard on you Jack, it's been a real blow to the whole family, but your Dad is in a better place now, he has no more pain to deal with."
I was somehow taken aback by the bluntness in her tone but before the effect could sink in, the car had come to a sudden stop. Time to pay our respects. The car door was opened by one of the young men from the funeral company and I eased myself out and walked towards the freshly dug hole in the ground, My fathers new resting place.

This is the very first Time writing a short story, so it might not be that good, My spelling can be wrong but I will try my best not to muck it up thanks.
