Mini Prologue:
This story takes place after Buffy's death when she jumped into the portal to save Dawn, but sadly she was never brought back. Tara and Willow and Dawn all live in the Summers household with Giles. Anya and Xander ended up getting married and live in their own house a couple doors down from the Summers house…The Apocolypse in LA has been stopped, but only Angel and Gunn survived. Gunn is happily married in a far away place with two children. Angel Shan sued, and after three years of brooding over not having Buffy there with him as a human he joined the army under the alias Seeley Booth and later the FBI where he was paired with a doctor Temperance Brennan of the Jeffersonian (no one is pregnant).
Please enjoy the story…
It was a normal day for Sealy Booth, no that was an understatement, today was a great day.
"Hey Sealy" Cam greeted him.
"Hello Cam!" Sealy replied happily, he was in a great mood today, he had stopped by the royal diner that morning and had a cup of coffee and a piece of pie.
"Your un-characteristically cheery today, how are you and Doctor Brennan." Booth's smile faded as the annoying voice of Lancelot Sweets, the FBI's psychologist rang through his ears.
Now he turned and glared at Sweets "there is no doctor Brennan and I, except for the fact that we are assigned partners working for the FBI."
Taking a hint Sweets backed of and went to his office. Returning to his earlier mood Booth paced up to Dr. Brennan and asked "Where are we off to today? Another dead body at an archery zone? Or maybe another occult attack?"
Booth pondered through these deaths and realized he really needed a vacation because so far all he could remember doing for the past eight years was either looking at the disgusting dead bodies they unearthed, catching the bad guys, or brooding over the death of Buffy, but that age was behind him, he had left his Angel identity behind and taken the role of Sealy Booth.
"No" Brennan replied, snapping Booth out of his thoughts and back into the present.
Brennan continued "Surprisingly not, today we are going to Warrenton, Virginia. The coroner who called it in already identified two sets of bones, but there was an extra set of bones, and it looks likes murder.'
Booth took this all in and said "Well let's get in the car and start driving it's only an hour and a half away." Brennan grabbed her bags and smiled.
As Booth jumped into the black SUV he couldn't help but feeling that this case was going to be different, he didn't know how or why, it just would be.
