I saw the lights coming as I drove my car through the heavy snow. The windshield wipers swayed back and forth like a playground swing as I turned around the corner. The ice was slippery as I made the turn not knowing it would be my last. The car spun around blocking both lanes as the tractor trailer came swiftly ramming into my side. I felt a sharp pain as every inch of my body cringed from the blow and I felt myself falling into darkness.
I awoke to a light ahead of me and saw an angel dressed in white with shimmering wings of white. I asked if I was dead and he told me to turn around and look behind me. I did and saw a black flame with a great evil emanating from it. I immediately stood up since I had been lying on the ground and started backing away from the great flame that arose in such a firey terror I thought I would die from sheer fright. The angel told me to not be afraid and turn around again. I did and this time I saw a flat blue staircase surrounded by a white light leading up to a door. I started walking toward it and the angel disappeared. As I was climbing, I remembered my childhood. As I got to the middle portion of the staircase, I thought of my teenage years. I reached the top and saw the horrible car crash flash before me and realized I must be almost to heaven.
I opened the golden door and entered it. Inside I saw a white throne and seated upon it was the Lord, dressed in a light brighter than white. A dove was seated on His right and was cooing softly. He motioned me to come to Him and asked if I knew where I was. I told Him I thought I was in heaven. He said I was correct and motioned me to come closer toward Him. I did as I was told and was asked if I was sorry for my sins. I said I was and He forgave me. He asked me to come closer so that He could whisper something in my ear and I did. I leaned in and he whispered in the calmest tone ever, "I Love You."
