Lira looked out her window. She watched as a blur of white landed on the ground, blanketing it. She was hoping that something interesting would happen to her life. For her, it was the same old daily routine. No friends, talk to mom, call Aunt Katerina. That's all she ever did. She tried to fit in at school, but every time she got close to making a friend, something strange would happen. She often felt that she had some sort of a curse on her, so she tried to stay away from people. But, she didn't know that a golden stone and a truck could change her life forever.
It was late at night and Mrs. Clagen was returning home from a visit with her two sisters, Katerina and Arya. Arya had never meet Lira because she had a secret, and Mrs. Clagen was intending to introduce Arya and the secret to her daughter. Mrs. Clagen had never told Lira about Arya. As they were driving down the highway, a large moving truck skidded on the ice, and flipped over. Mrs. Clagen didn't see the truck, and crashed right into it. Flames engulfed everything.
The sound of sirens of sirens soon filled the air. Police, fireman and ambulances came rushing to the highway. By the time the fire was out, the ambulance attendants were able to free the four victims. Two were dead. Katerina and the truck driver had perished in the flames. Mrs. Clagen and Arya had survived, but the ambulance attendant said that Mrs. Clagen wouldn't make it to the hospital. She decided to tell Arya one thing, as she tok her last breath.
"Tell Lira the truth…" She closed her eyes, and left the world forever.
Arya couldn't control herself. Both of her sisters were gone in an instant. But, she knew that she couldn't let that get the best of her because she had som very important business to tend to.
