Another fic from an old notebook I've finally typed up. Short piece of fluff featuring Noishe.
Disclaimer: I don't own Tales of Symphonia. It belongs to Namco.
Noishe winced slightly as he looked at his left front paw. He had caught it on a sharp stone and cut it earlier. It was a lot less painful now than it had been earlier, however, as Colette had put a salve on it and wrapped a bandage around it.
He had watched, fascinated, as she had tied the fabric in place, something he wouldn't have been able to do. All of these years he'd spent in the company of humans and he was still fascinated by their front paws or, rather, what they could do with them.
As far as he could tell Lloyd and Colette were particularly talented individuals. He wondered, in Lloyd's case, if he was naturally talented, if it was because he'd been taught by a dwarven craftsman or a bit of both. He decided that it was most likely the latter.
In Colette's case it seemed to him that practice, patience and determination had played a large part in her becoming skilled with a needle and thread.
Right now though they were doing one of his favourite things, preparing a nice meal. He wagged his tail happily as he imagined how all of the ingredients they were preparing would taste.
Shuffling a little closer he watched contentedly for a few minutes before rolling on to his back and waggling his paws in the air like a puppy.
Colette giggled and cooed at him then offered him one of the pieces of the apple she'd been slicing up.
Lloyd half-heartedly grumbled that Noishe should wait for dinner to be ready like they were, causing Colette to mutter in a playful tone about him being jealous before feeding him a piece of apple too.
Noishe laughed quietly at the blush that appeared on Lloyd's face as she did that, then curled up comfortably to watch his companions and wait for what he was sure would be a delicious dinner.
