Author note: at this point, Khet doesn't realize that Orochimaru is his father…

Khet Iaret stood in a street in the Village of Hidden Sand (Suna). He stood there with his hands crossed and seemed deep in thought. He looked around him and found the village surprisingly dull and boring. In fact, he longed for adventure and the village seemed too slow for him. He didn't seem to notice that other villagers were giving him strange looks as if they were trying to put a face to a name. Khet Iaret simply ignored this and leaned against a building and ran a hand through his already semi-spiky hair as he thought of what to do. He grinned to himself and turned his gaze towards the Leaf Village (Konoha) and decided to do some training, after all, the change of scenery may do him some good. As he left for the trees, whispers followed him.

As he wondered through the thickets of trees, it seemed that some others had similar plans. He watched the five individuals, but kept himself hidden so that they wouldn't detect his presence. He wasn't sure what Village they came from, but wasn't about to find out the hard way anytime soon. He made himself comfortable and waited to see if they were showing signs of leaving so that he could practice by himself as he had planned. As he was sitting there, there was an individual who was obviously the sensei. This sensei was reading a book and seemed very relaxed. Khet, not exactly wanting to get involved snuck off and headed in a different direction to start training on his own.

Khet stared at the tree that he had been using to train on. The trunk was covered with shurikens and kunai knifes. "Now to get them all down…great" he thought to himself and sighed before starting on this new task. Although he knew that he could use his Fire Dragon Flame Blast Jitsu, he didn't exactly want to cause a forest fire just to get his weapons out of the tree. As he was collecting the shurikens and kunai knifes his mind wandered and he thought back to the group that he had briefly observed training. After gathering the shurikens and kunai knives he went back to work training with them. "Ugh…great, just great" he said out loud as a kunai knife missed the tree completely and went deeper into the forest. He knew that despite the fact that he had been training in a forest, he would be able to find it again because it couldn't have gone very far and so wasn't worried about losing it. He snapped himself out of his brief daze and went back to his training with more determination.

Feeling that he had improved somewhat because the kunai knives were closer together and not spread out too much. He sighed and began to look for the missing kunai knife that he had lost earlier on.
