This was written kinda as a dedication from Mimi to her beloved. Since she's a singer, I put it in song form, and I almost forgot the annoying disclaimer:
Disclaimer: I don't own Mimi Taichikawa or Ishida Yamato (Altough I wish Yamato was mine!) Or Digimon, Digimon is owned my Bandai, and yadda yadda.
"...sure, love you, too." Mimi hung up the phone. The unfinished song scripture lay on her desk, full of blots, cross outs, and little pictures. She reached over to the pad of notepaper and pen, and started to write as if she were being controlled by something.
A half hour later, her new song was complete. She read it over a couple of times, and smiled, satistfied. She sang the words, a soft ballad, a sweet, heartfelt melody.
She reached over to the telephone, and automatically dialed the number of the person she was thinking of.
"Hello?"
"I saw you that night,
I remember the details
it plays over and over again in my mind.
You smiled, you spoke
I'll never remember what was said
But your eyes were connecting with mine
I promise, after all we went through
I'll love you.
Promises last forever
You just have to believe
I'll love you, now until the end of time.
It seemed everything stood in our way
Until we ran away
We ran away from it all
It never mattered,
No one ever cared.
I promise, after all we went through
I'll love you.
Promises last forever
You just have to believe
I'll love you, now until the end of time.
You took me, and brought me
Above and beyond
Anywhere I've ever been
There, you kissed me
and told me, that
love was here to stay.
I was a young girl
and you weren't much older
And people said it wasn't true
We were to young to understand the values
Of true love
We promised and we battled
from here, ontil the end
We left it all behind
We created a new life
A new existance
Full of dreams and promises
That we'll never let go.
I promise, after all we went through
I'll love you.
Promises last forever
You just have to believe
I'll love you, now until the end of time.
I love you, Yamato."
