-Itachi's P.O.V.-

(The last that ever she saw him

Carried away by a moonlight shadow,
He passed on worried and warning,

Itachi stared at his blue eyed, blonde angel standing there in the rain crying towards heaven. "Naruto-kun" He whispered to himself. He was worried he'd never seen his angel so……broken. He wanted to reach out and wrap his arms around him, to protect the innocence in his gaze from fading, Innocence that he no longer possessed. That he himself had destroyed so long ago, during the massacre that annihilated most of his clan. Leaving Sasuke to think that it was he who killed the clan, not Orochimaru.

(Lost in a riddle that Saturday night,

Far away on the other side,
He was caught in the middle of a desperate fight,

And she couldn't find how to push through.)

Standing there at The Valley of the End, Itachi wondered what was the last straw that broke him, that made his face and eyes hold so much pain.

(The trees that whisper in the evening,

Carried away by a moonlight shadow
Sing the song of sorrow and grieving,

Carried away by a moonlight shadow
all she saw was a silhouette of a gun,

Far away on the other side
He was shot six times by a man on the run,

And she couldn't find how to push through.)

Itachi thought back to the fight he witnessed earlier between his brother and Naruto. 'No it wasn't that, not even when Sasuke drove the Chidori through his chest, it was when he successfully brought Sasuke back, the betrayal of his so called friends and the village.' Itachi realized. He knew Naruto had a lot of forgiveness in him because he smiled day after day. Putting others happiness before his own. He was so selfless it was heartbreaking.

(I stay, I pray, I see you in heaven far away
I stay, I pray, I see you in heaven one day.)

Itachi saw Naruto look towards heaven. His lips were moving in a silent prayer. Itachi wanted to answer that prayer so badly. He wanted to be with his kitsune for the rest of their lives.

(Four a.m. in the morning,

Carried away by a moonlight shadow
I watched your vision forming,

Carried away by a moonlight shadow
Star was glowin' in a silvery night,

Far away on the other side
Will you come to talk to me this night?

But she couldn't find how to push through.)

Itachi couldn't stand seeing his kitsune in pain anymore. He stepped out from where he was hiding and held out his hand. "Come." was all he said. At first Naruto was wary but then, step by step he came closer until he reached Itachi and took his hand. When Naruto looked into my eyes, I couldn't stand it anymore. I kissed him. It was a chaste kiss but a kiss none the less. I looked at him once more, and then we were gone. Hopefully for a chance to live happily ever after.

I know, I know it was a cheesy ending wasn't it but I was starting to run out of ideas half way through the story. Ah screw it the whole story was cheesy. Hope ya enjoyed it though. I thought this song would fit Itachi's personality better than the other one would have.
