"BOO!"

Alexander Harris jumped out from behind the large oak tree in his yard and startled his two friends, Buffy Summers and Willow Rosenberg. He grinned and pointed at them.

"Ha, ha, I scared you! I scared you!"

Willow looked indignant. She was just a little scared, but she would never admit it. She was the shy, quiet one whereas her friends, Buffy and Alex, were more adventurous then her.

"Did not!"

"Did too!"

"Did not!"

"Did too!"

"Did –"

Buffy's mom, Joyce, broke into the argument.

"That's enough, you two. Let's get a move on."

She looked down at Buffy who was holding onto her leg. Joyce shook her head. Her daughter could fight demons and vampires until the cows came home but still, she gets shy when she gets around people her own age. She couldn't understand it. Buffy looked up at her mom with a look of love on her face. Joyce melted. She wished Buffy wasn't a Slayer; after all, she was only six.

"Can we please get some candy now?"

Buffy asked with a questioning look on her face as she looked at her friends. Ever since she was called, she had grown up way too fast. This was the one night where she could be a kid for once. She looked absolutely adorable in her princess costume. Alex looked down at his feet. He knew that this night was important.

"Sure, Buffy."

Willow nodded.

"Yeah, we'll get candy."

The two of them grabbed her hands and walked up the street towards Giles'. They reached his door and knocked. The door opened and…

"BOO!"

The three kids screamed and ran away. There, in the doorway stood Giles, the guy who wasn't much for Halloween, looked atrocious. He looked like the living dead. Giles stood with his mouth open and looked over at Joyce.

"Boo?"
