James Hathaway is still in Cambridge leaving Stephen Hazel alone to take care of things. A sudden campus-wide poisoning incident forces Hathaway's return and they find themselves in a race against time, having to adjust to the twist and turns that comes their way. Will the arrival of the new detective constable hinder or help? Meanwhile, Caroline finds out news about her past.

Summer has hit Oxford, and that brings its usual complexities. Hathaway and the team have their hands full, their patience tested to the limit. A sudden blast from the past gives Hathaway cause for amusement, but he doesn't expect the shock and heartache that is heading his way...

It is all change at Oxford City Station. Hathaway is finding it difficult adjusting to his new role, Hazel likewise. A rather straightforward case on the face of it leads to something more complicated, leading both Hathaway and Hazel to use their experience to solve it, along with a few old, but familiar faces to help them along the way.

It's Christmas Eve in Oxford, and Laura has a visitor... A one shot.

It's Christmas party time for the Oxfordshire Police gang and there are a few party poopers in attendance. Laura, Robbie, and James are doing the best they can to get through the obligatory event.

There is a new serial killer in Oxford. And he seems to be a huge fan of Shakespeares plays. As usual Lewis and Hathaway investigate. But this time they also have to take care of a young girl they find at one of the crime scenes.

A wrecked car, a mangled body, and a crime that just isn't quite adding up. When Lewis suspects the impossible, it'll take all his courage and wits to track down the culprit and punish them for what they've done. He doesn't think about the consequences, they'll get through that part together. Only, right now? It'd be so much easier if James was here...

I've always loved the pilot, and in this story I've simply fleshed out and fabricated a little background and padding. I like Robbie and Laura, but I don't own them.

A line from Colin Dexter's novel The Remorseful Day inspired this reflection piece. It'd be properly classified as a Morse-Lewis crossover, but if you know my writing, you know that all roads will lead to Robbie and Laura.
