Nick has been trying to hide his feelings for Ellie for a while now,more specifically since they were undercover.Before the undercover operation Ellie was just,well ellie.After she kissed him,that's when it all started.Right now him and Ellie were baby sitting the baby they had found on a case, while gibbs and McGee were back at ncis headquarters trying to find its family. Nick was sitting on the couch when the baby woke up so he had to give it its bottle,Ellie was sleeping on the couch,she had heard the baby cry but she knew nick had given the baby a bottle since it stopped crying,what nick didn't know was that Ellie had also gained feelings for him and she wanted to tell him but got scared because she had broken rule 12 before.She went back to sleep and when she woke up nick was laying in front of the couch,the baby laying next to him,nick was asleep,but the baby was looking at Ellie,she decided she would pick the baby up and put it in the little cradle they had by the couch.After about an hour of nick sleeping he woke up and saw Ellie wasn't there and the baby was sleeping in the cradle,he got up and immediately knew Ellie was in the kitchen due to the smell of breakfast.Ellie came into view and said "oh your awake"
"Yeah,what are you making"
"I made eggs,pancakes,sausage, and bacon"
"Okay."they started eating and in the middle of eating nick decided he would come clean about his feelings
"Ellie, I have feelings for you and I know your probably scared because of rule 12 but maybe we could talk to Gibbs but all I know is that I have feelings for you and I can't just keep them hidden"
"Nick-"
"You don't have to say anything,I needed to tell you"
"Nick I have feelings for you too"
"Really?"
"Yes and your right I was scared because of rule 12 but we could talk to gibbs"when she said that the baby started cooing and nick and Ellie looked over then soon realized they were under a mistletoe.
