Chapter 1
One night after Adam watches a baseball game he comes upstairs carrying 2 glasses of water and sees Lorelai just finishing wrapping a present for Rorys birthday the next day.
"hey." he says
"hey." she says
"brought you a glass of water." he hands it to her
"ah thanks hon!" she says taking a sip putting it down on her nightstand on her side of the bed
"you're welcome, so you bought the computer?" he wonders
"I bought the computer." she says in her sing song voice
"was it expensive?" he wonders
"no not too I got a deal on it." she tells him
"well that's good." he says
"yeah." she says and smiles taking a sip of water
"oh man I'm so tired and I still hve a lot to do tonight." she tells him watching him sip his water
"mhm, like what?" he wonders
"well we are out of ice so I have to go and get some at Doose's." she tells him
"why can't you just do that tomorrow?" he wonders
"because it's a little errand and if I do it now I can cross it off my list so that way tomorrow I don't have to worry about doing it and forget about doing and getting it." she tells him
"well Dooes's is prbably closed at this time of night and tell you what I can do." he tells her
"are you sure?" she wonders
"yeah I have to work a little late tomorrow but I will definitly stop and get some on the way home although I may be a little late to the party." he tells her
"that's fine hon." she tells him and smiles
"you're sure?" he wonders
"yeah absoutely." she tells him
"okay." he says and gets on his side of the bed and lays down
"night babe." he says and leans over and kisses her
"night babe." she says laying down turning off her light just laying on her back thinking about Rory's party and everything she still has to get done
