Title: Runaway
Title: Runaway
Author: fbi-woman
Rating: K/G or whatever. Nothing offensive in here I don't think.
Type: Cold Case, Lilly, LS
Spoilers: Um, would make more sense going up until the end of Season 4, but technically there aren't any spoilers.
Disclaimer: I own nothing and I'm not claiming to (though I wish I did). This is an original story based on a TV show.
Summary: Just a quick little poem I wrote about Lilly during criminology class lol. Lilly-centric, but LS implied at the end.
A/N: Yeah, I know nothing about poetry and I actually kind of hate poetry lol, I just write it when I'm bored. So it might suck, sorry lol. I have no sense of rhythm or anything with poetry, I just put down words.
Runaway
Flee from the fall
The tumbling walls
The cracks in your precious façade
Welcome fear
Heart pounds in your chest
Can't speak to confess
The secret desires almost real
In your reach
Your childhood dreams
Your rationale screams
But something keeps holding you back
It's that day
You know it will come
They'll tell you they're done
You're never worth fighting to keep
Then you break
Darkness floods in
You're broken again
Though only when hidden from sight
Walls rebuilt
Somehow he can see
Knows just what you need
Lifts you up with his strong, caring arms
Inner fight
The mind, it tells lies
Says to push him aside
But you know that your heart is now safe
Runaway
Leave old hurt behind
It's real love this time
The past scars will fade with his touch
