I hated the fact that Neji died. Just hated. So, this is my little tribute to one of the best "couples" in Naruto.

She finds it ironic that the day she decided to visit him, the sky is just as grey as his eyes.
It's been twenty years. Or more.
Definitely more.
It's all grey. The sky, the stone, her hair, their history.
They have moved on. All of them. First, there were couples, than daughters and sons and now, grandchildren. But she stayed the same.
It's her first time. She's strong, and she knew, and she saw it all. But the courage to come here… That's the one thing she never had.
She sitting now, hugging her knees – with some difficulty, of course. She's not getting any younger, after all -, staring at the stone in front of her.
She takes a deep breath.

There's this guy, over there. He works in this place for God knows how long, and he had seen it all.
A mother who lost her child; Brothers who lost their sisters; A baby who never had a chance to say his first word.
He's using one of the graves to support his weight, and, as he watches that old lady with that famous hairstyle, he can see that she's smiling now, and he recognizes that gesture. It's the type of smile that some people often use when they want to reacquitance with a lost one.
As he turns around to leave – it's rude to listen to others conversation! - he can't help but wonder what kind of pain she's been through.
The pain of a road never crossed, or the pain of someone who had it all and suddenly lost it?

As she feels the rain falling slowly, she can see it clearly and, with a smile on her face, she can feel the courage running in her blood, like those oh so good days, and says,
"Hello, Neji…" – Her smile is bigger now – "It's been a long time."
'And i'm thinkin of you, can't stop thinkin' of you.'
