Challenge Word: WATER
Word Count: Double drabble this week. 200 words on the nose.
Other players in the challenge are now too many to list here! There're lots of people building these Supernatural snowmen. You can find the list of names at Enkidu07's profile page and/or OnyxMoonbeam's profile page. Also, to find all of the lovely drabbles, there's a sweet little C2 community out there to subscribe to and enjoy. You can find the link on their profile pages mentioned above.
Disclaimer: Neither the boys nor anything related to Supernatural belongs to me. I'm just having some fun with the boys, playing around with Eric Kripke's sandbox.
TIME AND AGAIN
By: Vanessa Sgroi
The brackish, metallic water had burned as it clawed, inch by ill-boding inch, past his ankles. Past his knees. Past his waist and chest. Now it dandled around his mouth and nose—seeking entrance to deadly unresistant paths.
Dean shuddered, yanking at the restraints locking his arms above him, reaching toward the ceiling. Tilting his head back as far as it would go, he fought for air. But it was no use. The water continued its foreordained journey until it reached his wrists.
The useless thrashing stopped.

Warm arms circled him as Dean lay gasping. His fingers found a knee, gripped tight. "S'm." Now it was soft, soothing words that flowed inexorably over his head. The warm arms tightened.
"Gotchya. I got ya." A soft sighing sniffle followed.
Dean's fingers tightened on that denim-clad touchstone. "C-close one th-th-this t-t-time."
A finger brushed away droplets that could've just as easily been errant tears as remnants of numinous water. "'s-my fault, Dean, sh-shoulda got done sooner." There was a distinct tremble in that soothing voice. "It—it was a stubborn…"
"…sonuvabitch…"
"What? What's wrong?" Sam panted anxiously.
Dean's head twitched a negative. "…a stubborn sonuvabitch…"
Sam swallowed hard. "Yeah. Yeah, it was."
