This is something I wrote for an English class. We were assigned to write an excuse note from one famous person to another. Most people chose Paris Hilton and whomever she was feuding with that week… I know this is pretty short, but I'd still like to know what people think.

I shall not make any excuses. It was destiny that lead me to your family's door. Well, that, and a really good spy. Seriously, who would have expected little Peter could betray his friends? Your father didn't, that's for sure. If only you were able to see his face when I showed up! So really, any blame for the deaths of your parents falls directly on their laps.
Anyway, I never would have known of your existence if Dumbledore hadn't stupidly interviewed his little Seer in such a shady place. Who does that in a time of war? If it not for his lack of foresight, you mum and dad would live still, and I would rule the world. Stupid meddling schoolteachers.
Actually, I take it all back. The fault belongs to your parents. Who in their right mind stands in the way of the greatest, most powerful dark wizard of all times? The blood of Salazar Slytherin runs through my veins!
