Once is enough... Isn't it? A series of not-necessarily-in-order moments in the life of Richard Grayson, centered around a poem. T for paranoia (mine), rating subject to change. AU later on.

1. Prologue

Once is enough to make a man,

And more than enough to break a man,

But when once the fall a man has taken,

Heart and soul are oft forsaken.

When twice the fall a man had plagued,

There is little chance he may be saved.

For when twice to hell a man has been,

The price, he knows, for every sin.
