The Detective boys had been friends for 10 years. Even then, Genta and Haibara had never been particularly close. So it was quite a shock to everyone when the two had become a power couple overnight.

"Since when?" Ayumi had cornered Haibara on an empty bathroom during lunch break.

"Last Night," Haibara answered as she washes her hand.

"How? You never said anything about liking him at all."

"Well…" she sighed. " He asked me, and I said yes."

The night before, Genta had come to the professor's house with flowers and chocolate. Which made Haibara raised her brows at the sudden visit and gifts from the loud mouth of the group.

"Erm… Ai-ch.." A glare from Haibara made him stop and start over again. "Haibara-chanwillyoubemygirlfriend?"

"What?"

"Will you be my girlfriend?" Genta repeated with a small voice.

"Why?"

"Because you are smart… and if you're my girlfriend you will help me study." his voice keeps getting smaller.

"So you need a tutor." she sighed. "You should have said that in the first place, Genta."

"Haibara-chan will you tutor me?"

"No."

"Why not?!"

"Because you tried to trick me Genta!"

He quieted down, feeling ashamed of what he just tried to do. "Sorry, Haibara-chan. I just thought if you're my girlfriend, I can keep the other boys from bothering you."

Haibara stopped and thought over what he had said. A peaceful high school experience is all she wants, and it is quite tiring getting asked out every day. If having a pretend boyfriend will do it, maybe she can go out with Genta.

"There are rules to being my pretend boyfriend."

Genta blinks, confused by Haibara's words.

"You will pretend to be my boyfriend so guys will stop asking me out and in exchange, I will help you study."

Genta nodded. "Yes, Ai-chan!"

"You will still call me Haibara."

"Yes, Mam!"

Ai sighed and brought out a paper to draft their contract for their fake relationship.

Haibara agrees to help Genta study if He will pretend to be her boyfriend to keep other boys from bothering her.

Other rules and agreement:

1. No one must know of the agreement.

2. Genta won't complain about studying.

Genta: Huh? I don't complain about that! Haibara: Really

3. Genta will go on a diet.

G: Why do I need to go on a diet? H: I want my boyfriend to be fit. G: If you're going to add that then I want to add a rule too

4. Haibara will make me lunch.

H: why do I need to make you lunch? G: If you don't make me lunch, I'll just eat 3 bowls of rice eel.

5. I get to call you Ai-chan.

H: No G: Fine

5. Haibara will come to my tournaments.
