After what felt like a day in Hell, Matt was walking home from school that night, his hair was drooped over his eyes, and was soaking wet.
"I'm going to find whoever planned that prank and make 'em know why I'm called 'Matt the Merciless', he spoke to himself, "besides it's not like I'm gonna be discreet with my actions".
Matt turned and walked into an open alley to take a shortcut to the station. He felt relatively calm, cold water aside. He soon felt like he was being watched, smelling smoke similar to that of tobacco.
"Such a fine night is it not," a voice beckoned to Matt.
Matt quickly turned around to see nothing but leaves and the air in the night sky.
"Who's there?!" Yelled Matt, readying a fighting stance.
"I might as well show myself, you're a keen one" the voice said again.
The owner of the voice appeared from close behind him. He wore an elegant suit, with cross-like insignias on his wrist-cuffs, as well as a cross-shaped neck tie.
Matt turned around, and was taken aback at the sight
"Yo-You're not who I think you are, are you?!" Matt was wide eyed in disbelief, seeing the person before him. The man chuckled at his shock.
"You seem to know of me, you seem to be down on your luck un such a fine night as this. Funnier fact being this day is the day of my birth" The man spoke in a sophisticated manner, it didn't ease Matt, actually it made him MORE nervous.
"Well, anyways, care to tell me your trouble?"
"Pranks...tons of 'em" Matt replied bluntly, the man's eyes widened slightly.
"I see," he replied "Mind if I help bring your spirits up?"
"What would YOU want from me?" Matt asked quizzically, the man took a fighting stance.
"A duel no holds barred of course." The man grinned to Matt
"I guess it 'could' help...but you are seriously reminding me of 'him'. Just letting you know".
Matt took a stance, the man,smiling spoke again.
"If you mean a man named Slayer. I am that man" Slayer spoke, revealing himself to Matt, who grinned happily at the reveal.
"Heh! How quaint! A duel on your birthday would be pleasant!" Matt replied.
Matt and Slayer then began their duel after the conversation
After the duel Matt seemed to be bruised somewhat, relatively coming out of the battle unscathed. Slayer claps to Matt in respect.
"A good battle indeed, I applaud you", Slayer complimented Matt for a good fight.
"You held back didn't you?" Matt spoke, Slayer nodded knowingly, Matt chuckled to himself.
"I have a feeling it'd be a bad idea to kill you in one blow. I feared someone close would be...disappointed", Slayer stated worriedly. Matt took this as "I would of fought seriously but you need to live".
"I get your idea, and thanks again, Slayer". Matt waved to his opponent, before hurrying off.
Slayer grinned before turning around and walking on his own path
"The child has potential. Only a matter of time until I owe him as much as he owes me, and his will is surprising. I must duel him seriously in the near future". Slayer thought to himself, seeing the moonless sky above him, with Halloween decorations aplenty in the city. He grabs his cape, leaving as it sprawls open to form a portal.
A/N: Whelp, here's my oneshot crossover with GG and Persona, I didn't write the battle out but as I wrote, it wasn't an easy one for Matt. This is prior to some chapters of strange findings, but after others, as well as Envious Ballad. I may write the rematch that is essentially them at full strength in a future date!
