Jade felt, in a word, betrayed. Was it all just a joke to him? She looked at the door with one last glimmer of hope and that's when it dawned on her. He wasn't coming. They were over. Jade felt the first few tears drip down her face as she walked through the rain to her car. She climbed in and memories washed over her. She completely lost it and threw herself over the steering wheel in hysterics. She heard a knock on the window. It was barely audible because of the pouring rain out side but everything echoed in the car. The romantic in her hoped it was Beck. It was not Beck, it was none other than her best friend. She looked at Jade with a saddened expression and filled with sympathy. The girl was soaked. From her dripping red hair to her designer flats. Jade motioned for Cat to come in. She wasn't sure why, but probably because she didn't want to be alone.
Cat turned on the radio.
lean on me
When your not strong
Ill be your friend
Ill help you carry on
For it won't be long
Till I'm gonna need
Somebody to lean on.
Jade leaned her head on Cats shoulder and cried. Cat stroked Jades hair.
After all that's what best friends are for right?
