Every Day he came back to this place. Every day for 7 years. After hiding a girls soul from the evil man that hunted her, he returned to this place. Some times he waited all day, sometimes when he had more pressing matters, and was only there for a few minutes. The one he was waiting for had yet to appear.
What caused him to wait? What had happened? Were there trials and tribulations before destiny? Or were previous visions wrong, and the one he waited for wasn't a child of destiny? Maybe he wasn't supposed to be a child.
Seven years of war. Of pain, death, fear. All being slept through by the fated chosen one. What would happen when he awoke? Pain, shock, hurt. Can't be easy having seven years stripped away from you.
But the boy continued to wait every day for seven long years.
Sneaking into the location wasn't easy. Dodging spies, horrible undead creatures, and slipping past the head of evil himself. Putting himself in danger and all just to wait. Waiting...
Every day nothing, silence, emptiness. All hope being lost. Sanity questioned, did the fated child ever exist? It had been too long, and the mistake not realized until it had happened. The evil man almost had everything he wanted, almost.
Was destiny still at hand? Were the Gods still smiling down on them? Or was this some sort of cruel irony. A calm before the storm. But if the fated hero was gone why hadn't the evil man shown his face with 2 piece in hand?
No. One could not entertain such thoughts. Thoughts so prominent, it was enough to make one physically sick. So you hold on to the hope and continue sneaking, hiding, waiting.
For a glimmer of hope.
And the glimmer came in a beacon of blue shining light.
The child of destiny, no longer a child.
Blue eyes met Red.
And a destiny unfolded.
Not even taking the time to baffle over the mystery of his destiny. Flying into it, meeting it head on. Like making up for lost time. Even with every heart break thrown his way
An ageless friend, a lost colony of people, a frozen kingdom, a burned village, a wicked scheme against a princess.
He went in proving his worth at every danger he encountered. His Red eyed guide waiting at every turn. The same one who waited for his return. For seven long years.
Finally at the last task he returned to the beginning of his journey. To receive the last item needed to defeat The evil man. He rushed in without a second thought.
Breaking seals, climbing stairs, a collapsing building all ending in a vicious battle with evil incarnate. And prevailing oh yes prevailing. Sealing up the evil man forever in the power of the weapon that once deemed him unworthy of it.
And he thrust that weapon back into it's holding place. And a girl sent him back in time to regain those seven lost years.
So the boy would wait again, wait seven more years, but it was worth it. Anything for him was worth it. Yes Sheik would wait endless amounts of years for Link.
A/N honestly I don't know where this came from it was an idea I entertained for awhile to describe how Sheik maybe saw how all this went down. It's short I know, but I don't think it needed to be long. It seems almost, lyrical to me! Please read and review!
