Can you hear it?

No one can.

Not a single soul.

Except you.

Those echoes of voices that were mere copies of the hums of the human tone.

They mocked you.

They teased you.

They pushed you closer to the edge of insanity.

Shoving.

Prodding.

Poking.

You felt the undying need to block your ears from the fake humanoid voices that rang in your ears and tortured your soul and feeble mind.

Why were they toying with you? What could you have to offer them?

"She's not listening..." one hissed.

"She's blocking us out." another grumbled lowly.

You wanted to cut off their provoking voices.

You wanted them to stop.

"C'mon! Just push at her mind harder!"

'No! Just leave me alone!'

"Stupid, girl. She thinks she can fight against us~"

You wanted to cry, you wanted to gouge your eyeballs out, you wanted to severely mutilate yourself to the point of death, you wanted to scream your lungs out until they collapse.

You wanted to die.

You wanted to die.

You. Wanted. To. Die.

"[Name]?"

What? A normal voice?

"[Name], time to wake up, we're arriving at Central now." the mellow voice whispered to you sleeping form.

You rose your narcoleptic head up and slowly pried your [e/c] hues awake. Adjacent, the golden-haired State Alchemist sat with a slight frown etched upon his lips and light brows creased downwards.

"Are you alright? We thought you were having a nightmare or something, you were making weird screaming noises and thrashing about like a mad-woman." a hollowed voice said across from you, a large body of armor - Alphonse - scratched it's non-existent cheek nervously.

"...so we're not at Central?"

"No, why would yo-?"

"Good-night."

You huffed before turning back into your relaxed position with Edwards blood-red jacket draped over yourself like a blanket.

"H-hey! Wait a minute, [Name]! You're not just going to go back to sleep after you had that nightmare, are you?" Alphonse squealed in shock, flailing his metal limbs about like a chicken.

"Watch me."

"Ahhh! Ed! Do something!"

"Why should I?" He snorted while resting his auto-mail arm on the back of the train seat.

"Because, [Name] is a hot-spot for the Homunculi to collect information from. You know how hard she's trying to fend them off herself...at least be nice to her for once."

Again, Ed scoffed.

Al sighed in frustration.

And you were asleep again, twitching spasmodically as the nightmare returned.

"She's back again, Pride~"

"Excellent, now let's-wait, what? What's going on with her mind? It's! It's! Filling with light-!"

A fleshed arm pulled you closer to it's body as tender lips kissed the top of your [h/c] head.

"I love you, [Name]." Ed whispered to your unconscious form.

Then, you had a blissful dream.
