Renaissance: Edits
July 20th, 1985: The Disney Screening Room:
It was a stressful day for the Disney Company. Mickey Mouse and his friends were following the heads of Disney at the time Michael Eisner and Frank Wells to the screening room to see Disney's newest film. When they arrived at the theater Mickey took the seat between Minnie and goofy and, for the first time, saw the newest movie, The Black Cauldron. After about a hour minutes the movie was over and needless to say Mickey was not impressed "uh Roy?" said Mickey to Roy E Disney "meeting please?" "Okay Mickey" said Roy as he got the entire crew of The Black Cauldron to the meeting room.
July 20th, 1985: Disney Meeting Room
"hi guys" said Mickey starting the meeting
"hi Mickey" said everyone else "now as you guys all saw our latest movie well it just looks awful"
"really Mickey?" said Jeffrey Katzenberg, recently appointed CEO of Disney "because I was just thinking that and I think we should cut some stuff out"
"whoa Jeff" said Michael Eisner "maybe we can reanimate?"
"no Michael if we don't want kids crying in their theater seats I suggest we cut some of the footage out" exclaimed Jeffery
"okay Jeff" said Mickey "let me discuss it with my partners and sometime later today I will send the memo on what we should do, meeting dismissed" and with that the meeting was over, everyone left except Mickey, Minnie, Donald, and goofy.
Disney Meeting Room: Mickey, Donald, Goofy and Minnie
"Well guys" said Mickey "should we edit The Black Cauldron?"
"well I don't know Mickey" said goofy "I mean this movie will get teenagers to go into the theaters"
"and that is something we need to accomplish" interrupted Minnie "while that is the mission now Minnie, we need to get the kids involved to" explained mickey
"uh Mickey?" exclaimed Donald "how about we edit the scenes that will not affect the plot line" there was a brief pause as mickey thought about editing the movie
"so what scenes would we cut out?" questioned Mickey
"well it is a fairly simple process" said donald "we cut out the man being auled by the cauldreon and maybe some other scenes that would seem to much for children or even teenagers"
"I'll go with Donald's idea" said Goofy "that scene really frightened me"
"me too" said Minnie
"okay then now that we got that settled let's talk about the recent leaving of don bluth" said Mickey
"he left?, why?" said goofy
"well you see goofy why he left isn't the problem its what he left with, you see when he left a few weeks ago he took some of the animators with him"
"oh mickey that's terrible" said minnie
"i know minnie and now he is forming his own animation company"
"is it true that they can be better then us?" said donald
"well i don't see why not, look let's just end the meeting now and come back to it later" said mickey as he ended the meeting then after Donald and goofy left Minnie held back Mickey "Mickey, what if even if we do this movie is still bad?" "Don't worry Minnie" said Mickey as they walked out of the meeting room.
