Good day to all of you! Merry of MerryGold speaking, this is one I wrote and Gold edited. This is my first fic, be nice. No trolls or flames allowed!

Kuroshitsuji belongs to Yana Toboso, MerryGold merely plays with the characters.

Sebastian Michaelis sighed contentedly. Finally, after so long, he was permitted a day off to do with as he pleased. Whatever shall he do? There were ever so many books to read, so many pastries he wished to make for himself, where on earth should he start?

The answer came to him quite easily.

"Hello, my dear!" Sebastian cooed, quite uncharacteristically. He offered the female cat some leftover beef, which the feline ate with relish. She had been growing quite round recently—perhaps he had been feeding her too much? This was a pity, he rather enjoyed feeding her. Perhaps he should take more care as to how much he fed her at once. He looked at the remaining meat in his hand, and again at the mammal, which looked quite happy eating. Well, it would be a shame to waste such fine beef… He thought, giving the animal the rest of the meat.

The next day, between disasters caused by the others in the mansion, Sebastian took time to look for the cat but did not find her anywhere.

"Where could she be?" He mused, feeling rather lonesome by the severe lack of cats.

He could not find the creature all day, which left him feeling rather… what was the emotion? Depressed.

The cat could not be found the next day, nor for a week after that. Sebastian felt quite melancholy.

"Mister Sebastiaaaan!" Finny wailed. "Pleeease tell me it's not truuuuue!"

"What do you wish to not be true, Finnian?" Sebastian said icily, only half-listening.

"Baldo said that when cats know when they're going to die, and run off to die alonnnne! That's soooo scaryyyyy! Tell me it's not trueeeeee, Mister Sebastiaaaan!" Finny was whining, tears pouring down his face.

Finny stopped crying for a minute to register Sebastian's reaction, but Sebastian was nowhere to be seen.

"Huh? Where'd he go? I coulda sworn he was here a second ago…"

Sebastian was in the garden, looking for the cat, hoping that what Finny had said wasn't true. It was raining heavily; his clothes were getting muddy, but finding the little dear was more important to him.

He was about to give up, dejected, when he heard faint mewling coming from the shed nearby.

He opened the door slowly. He knew that he could destroy any enemy, but he would not be able to bear it if he injured the cat.

Inside the shed, on top of a pile of blankets, lay the cat and six wriggling lumps. Sebastian stepped carefully toward the cat, so as not to disturb her or her offspring. This emotion Sebastian was feeling- was this what humans call glee? The cat was quite adorable, but the miniaturized versions of the feline took his breath away. Two were pure black, like their mother, one was black with tiny white paws, one had a white face and belly but was otherwise brown, one was dark brown with orange-red spots in its fur, and the smallest one was pure brown.

Sebastian had to fight to keep a silly grin off his face. The kittens were scarcely a week old, eyes not even opened. He stroked the mother gently on her head.

"I shall bring meat presently," he stated quietly, gazing into the amber eyes he was so infatuated with. The presence of more cats in the garden thrilled him, but the young master and the other servants did not need to know this.

It would seem that Sebastian's precious time off would be more enjoyable in the future.
