Hello. :) I'm back, with my new story 'Emerald Fire'. It's all about Seth & his imprint. The inspiration to write this story was due to various reviews I received asking me to write a story about Seth & Anna, (who I introduced in my very first story 'A New Beginning') and so I did. I wrote this chapter in 2nd person (as oppsed to 1st or 3rd, as I usually write) as a kind of challenge to myself. Bear in mind I won't be writing like this throughout the story; it's just this chapter. This first chapter here is very short, but I just wanted to give you a taster of what the story will be about. :) And so, please enjoy this little snippet of my new story, 'Emerald Fire.'
- Chapter 1: Imprint -
An ordinary day turns extraordinary. Long shadows are cast across the walls and faces flicker in the candlelight. In that room, filled with noise of laughter and chatter, time stops. Your gaze catches mine, and it is impossible to rupture. For a few seconds we just stare at each other, as if magnets are holding our gaze together. The moment I see you, I know I will never be the same as before. A million strings of gold link me to you, and you don't understand it, but you feel it too. The world could end right now, and even if all else were to perish, if you and I were together, I would survive. More than that, I would live. You are all I see. Your porcelain skin is flushed at the cheeks. Your cherry lips curve into a smile. Your long tousled hair, black as the night sky, tumbles down to your tiny waist. You have an aura about you; a glow that I only ever be able to create for you. Your beauty blinds me, yet I cannot close my eyes. I hold your gaze, and stare into two smouldering pools of emerald fire.
