A Day at the Beach
By Storm Wolf77415
"Yay, the beach! The beach!" Flay Allster squealed in delight, "Come on, Kira!" She called out to her boyfriend.
"Be right, there!" Kira Yamato said, loaded down with an umbrella, inner tube, and picnic basket, but even still he couldn't help but steal glances at the woman of his heart, her fire-engine red hair shining in the sunlight.
It was a brilliant summer afternoon, and the two teenagers were spending the day at the beach. Kira, wearing a white and blue t-shirt, and black and red board shorts, settled back on the blanket as Flay pulled off her shirt and shorts, revealing a tight milky pink one-piece racer back swimsuit, hugging all her curves.
"Come on, Kira, play with me!" Flay said, running for the ocean's edge, Kira, deciding to go with it, ran after her. They splashed around in the shallows for awhile, until did a face plant into the water, getting soaked.
"I'm going to dry off," Kira growled, Flay couldn't help but put her hands to her mouth in a vain attempt to hides her giggles.
"While you're drying off, I'm going swimming!" Flay said, pulling the inner tube around her waist. She looked over her shoulder to give Kira a smile and wink and ran off for the water. Kira pulled out a book and started reading, but the book didn't hold his attention for long. His mind was on a certain redhead.
He thought of the development of their relationship over the course of the war. He had gone from silently pining for her on Helipolis, to saving her life at Artemis, admitting his love, and eventually making love to her in the most intimate way possible.
It could have turned out much differently, Kira reflected, she could have hated me even more for letting her father die, but she took it in stride, even though I failed. I was ready to end my own life, but she stopped me from doing something so foolish.
Through the blood and the death, Flay had been his stability and strength, allowing him to fight on. The pilot of the GAT-X105 Strike Gundam and the ZGMF-X10A Freedom Gundam came to a final conclusion. I'm the luckiest man in the entire world to have her, Kira thought,
Flay then ran back to up Kira, the inner tube still snugly around her waist. The water dripping off of her hair and the rest of her beautiful body, blue eyes sparkling, and a bright, happy smile. He couldn't help but stare.
"That was fun!" she said, sitting down next to Kira, "What is it?" she asked, seeing the wistful smile.
"I'm just so happy to have you," Kira said, "Even after everything I've done. I'm not worthy of you."
Flay pushed Kira down onto his back, so she was now laying half on, half-off of him.
"Don't you even go there!" Flay said, "This is going to be a happy time, and you're not going to blow it with your doom and gloom attitude. You are worthy of me, and I'm going to prove it." She slid a leg across his waist, so she was now straddling him, and they shared a prolonged kiss.
"I take back my earlier comment, plus have I mentioned that I have a thing for wet hair?" Kira said, his hormones now in full control.
"You might have," Flay cooed, blushing. She buried her face in his chest, trying to hide her reddened cheeks. But Kira put his hand under chin so he could stare into her grayish blue eyes, "Can we stay like this a little longer?" she whispered.
"As long as we need to," He said, and they stayed that way for a long time, not saying any words, the only sound being of water splashing on the shore.
Author Notes: Yet another Kira/Flay fluff oneshot. Short and pointless, but what can I say? It's my favorite pairing. And we get Flay in a swimsuit.
